Abstract
Transformator daya berperan penting dalam sistem tenaga listrik, khususnya di PLTA, dengan fungsi utama menyesuaikan level tegangan untuk distribusi. Efisiensinya sangat memengaruhi kinerja sistem, terutama karena perubahan beban yang menyebabkan rugi-rugi daya. Oleh karena itu, penting dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh perubahan beban terhadap efisiensi transformator daya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Saguling – Sub Unit PLTA Cikalong. Transformator yang digunakan memiliki kapasitas 8000 kVA dan tegangan kerja 6 kV/70 kV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara daya input, daya output, dan efisiensi transformator pada berbagai kondisi beban. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengkaji rugi rugi daya yang terjadi pada setiap variasi beban. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data operasional transformator selama bulan Januari 2023. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tegangan, arus, faktor daya, daya input, dan daya output. Data dianalisis menggunakan rumus-rumus efisiensi transformator tiga fasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi transformator berada pada kisaran 98,08% hingga 99,96%. Efisiensi tertinggi terjadi pada beban sekitar 2,60 MW. Efisiensi menurun pada saat beban terlalu rendah atau terlalu tinggi. Rugi-rugi daya tertinggi tercatat sebesar 0,05487 MW. Secara umum, efisiensi optimal dicapai pada beban menengah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaturan beban yang tepat sangat penting untuk menjaga efisiensi transformator. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengelolaan transformator dan pengembangan sistem kelistrikan yanglebih efisien. Power transformers play an important role in power systems, especially in hydropower plants, with the main function of adjusting voltage levels for distribution. Its efficiency greatly affects system performance, especially due to load changes that cause power losses. Therefore, it is important to conduct research to determine the effect of load changes on power transformer efficiency. This research was conducted at PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Saguling - Cikalong Hydroelectric Sub Unit. The transformer used has a capacity of 8000 kVA and a working voltage of 6 kV/70 kV. This study aims to determine the relationship between input power, output power, and transformer efficiency under various load conditions. In addition, this study also examines the power losses that occur in each load variation. The research method uses a quantitative approach by collecting transformer operational data during January 2023. The observed parameters include voltage, current, power factor, input power, and output power. The data was analyzed using three-phase transformer efficiency formulas. The results show that the transformer efficiency is in the range of 98.08% to 99.96%. The highest efficiency occurs at a load of about 2.60 MW. The efficiency decreases when the load is too low or too high. The highest power loss was recorded at 0.05487 MW. In general, optimal efficiency is achieved at medium load. The results of this study show that proper load regulation is very important to maintain transformer efficiency. This research is expected to be a reference in transformer management and the development of a more efficient electricity system.
