Abstract
Mental health is a state of well-being that enables individuals to cope with life’s pressures, learn, work, and contribute to their communities. Based on the Health Service Monitor survey (Ipsos Global, 2023), it was found that mental health has become one of the most concerning health issues globally. West Java Province, which ranks as the province with the highest level of depression, is considered inadequate in providing sufficient mental health services. In response to this issue, the design of a mental health rehabilitation facility that can help restore patients is necessary to address the high prevalence of mental health disorders in Indonesia. This project is located in Ciater District, Subang Regency, implementing a healing environment approach, in which architecture plays a role in creating a physical environment that supports the recovery process. The healing environment focuses not only on outdoor spatial design but also on interior arrangements. The main objective is to create an atmosphere that provides positive stimulation to the senses and supports the healing process. This design is expected to become an ideal facility for addressing mental health issues both in the present and the future, while also paying attention to and preserving the surrounding environment.
