Abstract

Tujuan dibuatnya skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana perkembangan kecerdasan visual-spasial pada anak usia 5-6 tahun dalam aktivitas sentra di RA Al-Muttaqin, Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikan peneliti terhadap kecerdasan visual-spasial dalam model pembelajaran sentra di RA Al-Muttaqin dan hasil penelitian sebelumnya yang banyak meneliti sentra balok. Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin mengeksplorasi pengembangan kecerdasan visual-spasial pada sentra lain di RA Al-Muttaqin. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan instrumen lembar observasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Aspek yang dinilai meliputi pengimajinasian (imaging), pengkonsepan (conceptualizing), pemecahan masalah (problem solving) dan pencarian pola (pattern seeking). Hasil menunjukan bahwa pada aspek pengimajinasian (imaging) berada pada kategori BSH dengan skor 49,8 dengan rata-rata 9,96. Pada aspek pengkonsepan (conceptualizing) berada pada kategori BSH (Berkembang Sesuai Harapan) dengan jumlah skor 51,16 dengan rata-rata 10,23. Pada aspek pemecahan masalah (problem solving) berada pada BSB (Berkembang Sangat Baik) dengan jumlah skor 55,6 dengan rata-rata 11,12 dan pada aspek pencarian pola (pattern seeking) berada pada kategori BSB (Berkembang Sangat Baik) dengan jumlah skor 50,9 dengan rata-rata 10,18. Berdasarkan rekapitulasi, aspek pemecahan masalah (problem solving) memiliki skor tertinggi dengan nilai persentase 92,60% yang berada pada kategori BSB (Berkembang Sangat Baik). Sementara berdasarkan rekapitulasi sentra, sentra balok lebih banyak item yang muncul dan sentra imtaq memiliki lebih sedikit item yang muncul. Secara keseluruhan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aspek tertinggi adalah aspek pemecahan masalah (problem solving) dan sentra tertinggi berada pada sentra balok. The purpose of this thesis is to determine how the development of visual-spatial intelligence occurs in children aged 5-6 years during center activities at RA Al-Muttaqin, Tasikmalaya City. This research is motivated by the researcher’s interest in visual-spatial intelligence within the center-based learning model at RA Al-Muttaqin dan previous studies that mostly focused on the block center. Therefore, the researcher aims to explore the development of visual-spatial intelligence in other centers at the RA Al-Muttaqin. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with observation sheets as the data collection instrument. The aspects assessed include imaging, conceptualizing, problem solving, dan pattern seeking. The results show that the imaging aspect falls into the Developing as Expected (BSH) category with a score of 49.8 dan an average of 9.96. The conceptualizing aspect is also in the Developing as Expected (BSH) category with a total score of 51.16 dan an average of 10.23. The problem-solving aspect is in the Developing Very Well (BSB) category with a total score of 55.6 dan an average of 11.12. The pattern-seeking aspect is in the Developing Very Well (BSB) category with a total score of 50.9 dan an average of 10.18. Based on the recapitulation, the problem-solving aspect has the highest score with a percentage value of 92.60%, which falls into the Developing Very Well (BSB) category. Meanwhile, based on the center recapitulation, the block center shows more items appearing, while the imtaq center has fewer items appearing. Overall, it can be concluded that the highest aspect is problem solving, dan the center with the highest development is the block center.
