    Abstract

    TikTok sebagai platform media sosial berbasis video memberikan ruang luas bagi penggunanya untuk membangun dan menampilkan citra diri. TikTok menjadi media yang potensial dalam mendorong munculnya narsisisme, khususnya dikalangan kreator konten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem terhadap narsisisme pada kreator konten TikTok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 353 orang berusia 18–24 tahun yang aktif mengunggah konten di TikTok. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) untuk mengukur self-esteem dan Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI) untuk mengukur narsisisme. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif antara self-esteem terhadap perilaku narsisisme, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,697. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi self-esteem yang dimiliki individu, maka semakin besar pula kemungkinan individu menampilkan narsisisme di media sosial. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman mengenai peran self-esteem dalam dinamika psikologis kreator konten di era digital, khususnya dalam konteks ekspresi diri dan pencitraan di platform media sosial seperti TikTok. TikTok, as a video-based social media platform, provides ample space for its users to build and display their self-image. TikTok has become a potential medium for encouraging narcissism, especially among content creators. This study aims to determine the influence of self-esteem on narcissism among TikTok content creators. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used is accidental sampling with 353 respondents aged 18–24 years who actively upload content on TikTok. The instruments used include the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) to measure self-esteem and the Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI) to measure narcissism. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression tests with the help of SPSS software. The results showed a positive influence of self-esteem on narcissistic behavior, with a significance value of 0.697. This finding indicates that the higher an individual's self-esteem, the greater the likelihood of that individual displaying narcissism on social media. This study contributes to the understanding of the role of self-esteem in the psychological dynamics of content creators in the digital age, particularly in the context of self-expression and image building on social media platforms such as TikTok.
