    Abstract

    Pantai Pasir Putih yang terletak di Kelurahan Banten Kota Serang merupakan pantai alternatif masyarakat Kota Serang dengan kondisi pengelolaan yang kurang optimal atau tidak terkelola dengan baik. Hal ini dapat terlihat langsung pada saat berada di kawasan Pantai Pasir Putih dengan banyaknya sampah yang tidak dikelola dengan baik serta kurangnya fasilitas sarana prasarana. Letaknya yang strategis berada pada kawasan wisata Banten lama yang memberikan peluang untuk membentuk kawasan wisata terpadu yang bisa menjadi ikon baru Kota Serang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Indeks Kesesuaian Wisata Pantai Pasir Putih sebagai kategori rekreasi wisata pantai, menganalisis persepsi pengunjung terhadap komponen pariwisata dan merumuskan strategi pengembangan ekowisata di Pantai Pasir Putih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kombinasi yaitu gabungan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling dan Accidental sampling. Berdasarkan hasil data persepsi pengunjung terhadap 4 komponen pariwisata komponen atractions, accessibilities, ancillary services, mendapat penilaian tidak baik, dan amenities sangat tidak baik dengan demikian Pantai Pasir Putih memiliki kesesuaian wisata dengan kategori S3 yaitu sesuai bersyarat dengan skor nilai 65.08% dan mendapatkan 5 strategi prioritas untuk pengembangan ekowisata di Pantai Pasir Putih yang dapat diterapkan oleh pihak-pihak terkait. The Pasir Putih Beach, located in Banten Subdistrict, Serang City, serves as an alternative destination for local residents; however, its management remains suboptimal and in many aspects unmanaged. This condition is evident from the presence of unmanaged waste scattered along the coastal area and the limited availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure. Strategically situated within the Banten Lama tourism area, the beach holds significant potential to be developed into an integrated tourism destination that could serve as a new icon for Serang City. This study aims to analyze the Tourism Suitability Index (IKW) of Pasir Putih Beach for recreational coastal tourism, examine visitors’ perceptions of tourism components, and formulate strategies for ecotourism development in the area. The research employed a mixed-methods approach, integrating both qualitative and quantitative techniques. Sampling was conducted using purposive and accidental sampling methods. Based on visitor perception data of the four tourism components attractions, accessibility, and ancillary services, which were rated as poor, and amenities, which were rated as very poor it was found that Pasir Putih Beach falls into the S3 category (conditionally suitable) with a score of 65.08%. Furthermore, five priority strategies for ecotourism development were identified, which can be implemented by relevant stakeholders.
