Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk stimulasi yang dilakukan oleh orang tua dalam mendukung perkembangan bahasa anak usia 5–6 tahun, serta menganalisis kontribusinya terhadap aspek ekspresif, reseptif, dan pragmatik-sosial. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan tiga anak usia dini dua laki-laki dan satu perempuan beserta orang tua mereka. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi non-partisipan dan wawancara terstruktur, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk stimulasi seperti berdialog, membacakan cerita, memberi arahan gaya bicara, serta koreksi pengucapan secara konsisten, berkontribusi pada peningkatan kemampuan bahasa anak. Hambatan yang dihadapi orang tua meliputi keterbatasan waktu, gaya komunikasi yang cenderung instruktif, serta akses terbatas terhadap media edukatif. Meskipun demikian, orang tua yang mampu menerapkan komunikasi interaktif dan memanfaatkan waktu secara efektif terbukti lebih berhasil dalam mendukung perkembangan bahasa anak. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi ilmiah dalam memahami praktik stimulasi bahasa di lingkungan keluarga kelas pekerja, serta menyoroti pentingnya pelibatan orang tua dalam interaksi verbal sehari-hari sebagai fondasi pengembangan keterampilan berbahasa anak usia dini. This study aims to identify the forms of stimulation provided by parents in supporting the language development of children aged 5–6 years, as well as to analyze its contribution to expressive, receptive, and pragmatic-social aspects. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method, involving three young children, two boys and one girl, along with their parents. Data were collected through non-participant observation and structured interviews, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that forms of stimulation such as dialogue, reading stories, giving speech style instructions, and consistent pronunciation correction contribute to improving children's language skills. The obstacles faced by parents include time constraints, an instructive communication style, and limited access to educational media. However, parents who are able to apply interactive communication and use time effectively are proven to be more successful in supporting their children's language development. This study contributes scientifically to understanding language stimulation practices in working-class family environments and highlights the importance of parental involvement in daily verbal interactions as the foundation for the development of young children's language skills.
