Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi keliling bangun datar, mulai dari memahami konsep keliling sampai menghitung keliling bangun datar, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Android yang bernama AREA, untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi keliling bangun datar kelas V di SD, serta diuji kelayakannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu R&D dengan tahap pengembangan model ADDIE. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi ahli materi dan ahli media, lembar soal pretest- posttest, serta angket respons guru dan siswa. Teknik analisis data untuk validasi oleh para ahli dan guru diukur menggunakan skala likert, kemudian lembar pretest dan posttest menggunakan analisis rumus N-Gain, sedangkan kelayakan media diukur melalui angket respon guru dan siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Negeri Setiajaya 01, Kabupaten Bekasi. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian para ahli, aplikasi AREA yang telah dikembangkan mendapat persentase 98% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Nilai rata-rata pretest siswa sebesar 30,1 sedangkan nilai rata-rata saat posttest sebesar 76,5. Dilakukan juga uji N-Gain terhadap pretest-posttest dengan hasil sebesar 0,66 dengan kategori “Peningkatan Sedang”. Dari hasil N- Gain tersebut didapatkan hasil N-Gain persennya atau keefektifannya yaitu sebesar 66,93% dengan kategori “Cukup Efektif”, sehingga berdasarkan hasil dalam penelitian ini, dapat dinyatakan bahwa media AREA berbasis Android yang telah dikembangkan dapat digunakan dan diimplementasikan oleh guru sebagai penunjang kegiatan pembelajaran. This research is motivated by the lack of students’ ability to understand the material of the perimeter of a flat shape, starting from understanding the concept of perimeter to calculating the perimeter of a flat shape. From these problems, the purpose of this research is to develop Android-based learning media AREA to improve students’ mathematical understanding of the material of the perimeter concept in flat shape for fifth-grade elementary school students, and test its feasibility. The research method used is R&D with the ADDIE model development stage. The research instruments included interviews, observations, validation sheets from material and media experts, pretest-posttest questionnaires, and response surveys of teachers and students. The data analysis technique for the pretest-posttest instruments used the N-Gain formula analysis, while the media feasibility was measured through teacher assessments on Likert scale. The research was conducted at Setiajaya 01 Elementary School in Bekasi Regency. Based on the result of the media expert assessment, the AREA application has been developed, gets a percentage of 98% and is categorized “very feasible”. The average pretest score among students was 30.1, while the average posttest score increased 76.5. The N-Gain analysis was also carried out on the pretest-posttest with a result of 0.66 with the category “moderate improvement”. The N-Gain effectiveness percentage was calculated at 66.93%, with a fairly effective category. So, based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that the Android-based AREA media that has been developed can be used and implemented by teachers as a support for learning activities.
