    Abstract

    Keterampilan berpikir kritis adalah keterampilan kognitif penting di abad ke-21, terutama dalam pembelajaran IPA yang berpotensi besar mengembangkan keterampilan ini. Namun, keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih rendah. Penelitian ini menerapkan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Smart Apps Creator untuk menganalisis pengaruh dan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik sekolah dasar pada materi transformasi energi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent control group design dan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel terdiri dari kelas 4A dan 4B SDN Soreang 01. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Smart Apps Creator lebih efektif dibandingkan model Discovery Learning. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 60,91 (kategori cukup efektif), sementara kelas kontrol hanya 37,64 (tidak efektif). Model ini meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan pengaruh sebesar 41,2%. ----- Critical thinking skills are essential cognitive skills in the 21st century, particularly in science learning, which has significant potential to develop these skills. However, students’ critical thinking abilities remain low. This study implemented the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Smart Apps Creator media to analyze the influence and improvement of elementary school students’ critical thinking skills on the topic of energy transformation. The research used a quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design and purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of classes 4A and 4B at SDN Soreang 01. The results showed that the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Smart Apps Creator was more effective than the Discovery Learning model. The average N-Gain score of the experimental class was 60.91 (categorized as moderately effective), while the control class achieved only 37.64 (ineffective). This model improved critical thinking skills with an effect size of 41.2%.
