    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbekangi oleh adanya kesalahan penggunaan kata yang tidak sesuai dengan konteks pemakaiannya, atau disebut juga kesalahan leksiko-semantik. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan kesalahan leksiko-semantik yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas VII-C SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014, yang meliputi (1) kesalahan menggunakan undak-usuk basa Sunda, (2) kesalahan stuktur leksikal, dan (3) interferensi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif, sedangkan tehnik yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan serta pengolahan data yaitu tehnik tes dan tehnik analisis data. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu karangan narasi yang disusun oleh siswa kelas VII-C SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014, sedangkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kesalahan leksiko-semantik yang terdapat dalam karangan narasi siswa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) kesalahan menggunakan undak-usuk basa Sunda sebanyak 14 kata (6,93%), dengan rincian (a) kesalahan menggunakan bahasa halus (lemes) untuk diri sendiri sebanyak 8 kata (3,96%), (b) kesalahan menggunakan bahasa halus (lemes) untuk orang lain jumlahnya satu kata (0,49%), dan (c) kesalahan menggunakan bahasa anak (budak) sebanyak 5 kata (2,47%); (2) kesalahan struktur leksikal sebanyak 17 kata (8,41%), dengan rincian (a) kesalahan homonim murni sebanyak 6 kata (2,97%) dan (b) kesalahan homonim tumpang tindih sebanyak 11 kata (5,44%); serta interferensi sebanyak 171 kata (84,65%), dengan rincian (a) interferensi fonologis sebanyak 4 kata (1,98%), (b) interferensi morfologis sebanyak 94 kata (46,53%), dan interferensi leksikal bahasa Indonesia terhadap bahasa Sunda sebanyak 73 kata (36,13%). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa masih melakukan kesalahan leksiko-semantik.

    This study is based on the use of language which is inappropriate with its context, often called as lexico-semantic errors. This study is aimed at finding out and describing lexico semantic errors practiced by seventh grade students at SMP Laboratorium UPI on 2013/2014 academic year which include the followings: 1) Errors in using undak usuk Basa Sunda, 2) errors in terms of lexical structures, and 3) language interference. Descriptive method is used in this study. Specifically, test and data analysis are as the techniques in this study. Data collected in this study are in the form of narrative text written by the students, and data to be analyzed are the lexico semantic errors found in the text. The result of this study are 1) 14 errors in using undak usuk Basa Sunda (6.93%) which include a) Eight errors in using polite language for self-representation (3.96%), b) One error in using polite language to the other people (0.49%) and five errors in using bahasa anak (2.47%), 2) 17 errors in terms of lexical structures (8.41%) which include a) six pure homonym errors (2.97%), b) 11 errors in terms of overlapped homonym, and 171 interferences (84.65%) which include a) Four errors in terms of phonological interferences (1.98%), b) Four errors in terms of morphological interferences (46.53%), and c) 94 errors in terms of lexical interferences between Bahasa and Basa Sunda (36.13%). The conclusion of those results is that the students still practiced lexico semantic errors in their writing.
