Abstract
Kemampuan literasi sains menjadi salah satu kemampuan yang penting dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran IPA karena dapat melatih kemampuan memecahkan masalah dengan memanfaatkan sains dan teknologi. Namun penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar masih rendah. Penerapan pendekatan STEM adalah salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar. Hal ini menjadi dasar terlaksananya penelitian ini. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) berbantuan media scratch terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar, 2) Mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar yang menggunakan pendekatan STEM berbantuan media scratch lebih baik dari pada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design dengan bentuk non-equivalent control group design pada pembelajaran IPAS materi transformasi energi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan literasi sains. Hasil penelitian dari perhitungan regresi menunjukan adanya pengaruh pendekatan STEM sebesar 48,2% dan skor n-gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,59 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,43. Kesimpulan yang dapat diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah; 1) Terdapat pengaruh penerapan pendekatan STEM berbantuan media scratch terhadapat kemampuan literasi sains siswa; 2) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan STEM berbantuan media scratch lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik.

Science literacy is one of the important skills to be developed in science learning because it can train the ability to solve problems by utilizing science and technology. However, previous research shows that the science literacy skills of elementary school students are still low. The application of the STEM approach is one of the lessons that can improve the science literacy skills of elementary school students. This is the basis for the implementation of this research. The objectives of this study are 1) Knowing the effect of science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) approach assisted by scratch media on science literacy skills of elementary school students, 2) Knowing the improvement of science literacy skills of elementary school students who use the STEM approach assisted by scratch media is better than students who get learning with a scientific approach. The research method used is quasi experimental design with the form of non-equivalent control group design on learning IPAS energy transformation material. The instrument used is a test of science literacy skills. The results of the regression calculation showed the influence of the STEM approach by 48.2% and the experimental class n-gain score was 0.59 while in the control class it was 0.43. The conclusions that can be obtained from this research are; 1) There is an effect of the application of the STEM approach assisted by scratch media on students' science literacy skills; 2) There is an increase in the science literacy skills of students who use the STEM approach assisted by scratch media better than students who get learning with a scientific approach.
