Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) bernama Geometry Play Around (GoPlan) guna meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik sekolah dasar. Dengan menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model ADDIE, penelitian ini dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas V SDN 2 Nagrikaler Purwakarta berjumlah 25 peserta didik. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi ahli, tes kemampuan koneksi matematis, observasi, dan wawancara. Instrumen tes dirancang berdasarkan indikator koneksi matematis menurut NCTM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa GoPlan memiliki tingkat validitas yang tinggi berdasarkan evaluasi para ahli. Implementasi GoPlan dalam pembelajaran geometri menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik. Peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis pada peserta didik terlihat dari perbandingan hasil pre-test dan post-test per indikator kemampuan koneksi matematis, dengan hasil peningkatan kategori tinggi. Media ini, yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan STEM dengan teknologi Augmented Reality, memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menarik, relevan, dan berbasis konteks nyata. GoPlan diharapkan menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran geometri di sekolah dasar serta mendukung pengembangan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan media pembelajaran GoPlan secara lebih luas serta pengembangan untuk topik matematika lainnya guna memaksimalkan manfaatnya dalam pendidikan berbasis STEM. ----- The objective of this study is to develop learning media based on the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach called Geometry Play Around (GoPlan) to improve the mathematical connection skills of elementary school students. The research was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) method of the ADDIE model. The study population comprised 25 fifth-grade students from SDN 2 Nagrikaler Purwakarta. Data were collected through the following methods: expert validation questionnaire, mathematical connection ability test, observation, and interview. The test instrument was designed based on mathematical connection indicators according to NCTM. The results indicated that GoPlan demonstrated a high degree of validity, as evaluated by experts. The implementation of GoPlan in geometry learning resulted in a significant increase in students' mathematical connection ability. This enhancement in mathematical connection proficiency is evident when comparing the pre-test and post-test results for each indicator, which exhibited substantial improvement across all categories. This media, integrating the STEM approach with augmented reality technology, offers an engaging, relevant, and realistic context-based learning experience. It is anticipated that GoPlan will contribute to the enhancement of geometry education in elementary schools, particularly in the development of students' mathematical connection skills. This research recommends the broader implementation of GoPlan learning media and its further development for additional mathematics topics to optimize its benefits in STEM-based education.
