Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa asing khususnya bahasa Korea sering menghadapi tantangan dalam pelafalan. Salah satu fenomena fonologis yang terjadi dalam bahasa Korea adalah nasalisasi konsonan yang merupakan perubahan bunyi dari non-nasal menjadi bunyi nasal. Mahasiswa yang berbahasa ibu dengan bahasa daerah berpotensi mengalami interferensi bahasa yang dapat memengaruhi pelafalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana fenomena nasalisasi konsonan bahasa Korea dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pelafalan nasalisasi konsonan Bahasa Korea. Teori nasalisasi konsonan yang menjadi landasan dalam penelitian ini dan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner serta wawancara yang dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak PRAAT pada mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Korea FPBS UPI angkatan 2021, 2022, dan 2023. Data yang digunakan diperoleh dari delapan partisipan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara daring yang dilakukan secara satu persatu mengenai 19 kosakata nasalisasi konsonan yang disajikan. Setelah proses analisis data, ditemukan persentase tertinggi menasal sebanyak 45,83% pada nasalisasi jenis hambat + nasal dan sebanyak 47,92% tidak menasal pada jenis hambat + nasal karena semua kata dalam jenis ini dapat dilafalkan dengan benar serta beberapa kata diketahui oleh beberapa partisipan tetapi terdapat kosakata yang memiliki konsonan bertumpuk yang sulit diucapkan. Kemudian, faktor yang paling dominan memengaruhi nasalisasi adalah variasi bahasa, durasi belajar, dan kemampuan bahasa. Manfaat penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi bagi pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran oleh pengajar serta oleh pemelajar dalam mempelajari nasalisasi konsonan bahasa Korea sehingga dapat mengembangkan kemampuan pelafalan nasalisasi konsonan, dan penelitian selanjutnya untuk mendalami tentang nasalisasi konsonan. Foreign language learning particularly Korean, often encounters challenges in pronunciation. One of the phonological phenomena in Korean is consonant nasalization, which involves the transformation of non-nasal sounds into nasal sounds. Students whose mother tongue is a regional language may experience language interference, which can affect pronunciation. This study aims to understand the phenomenon of Korean consonant nasalization and the factors influencing its pronunciation. The theory of consonant nasalization is applied in this study. A qualitative descriptive method was employed with data collected through questionnaires and interviews. The analysis was conducted using PRAAT software on students from the Korean Language Education program at FPBS UPI from the 2021, 2022, and 2023 cohorts. The data were obtained from eight participants through individual online questionnaires and interviews regarding 19 words featuring consonant nasalization. The analysis revealed that the highest percentage of nasalization occurred in the stop + nasal type with 45.83% of words being nasalized correctly, while 47.92% were not nasalized in the same category. This occurred because all words in this type could be pronounced correctly and some were familiar to the participants. However, certain words with clustered consonants remained difficult to pronounce. The most dominant factors affecting nasalization were language variation, learning duration, and language proficiency. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for educators in the teaching process and for learners in acquiring Korean consonant nasalization. This research is expected to contribute to improving pronunciation skills and serve as a basis for further studies on Korean consonant nasalization. 외국어 학습 특히 한국어 학습에서는 발음상의 어려움을 자주 겪는다. 한국어에서 나타나는 음운 현상 중 하나가 자음 비음화로, 이는 비비음 자음이 비음으로 변화하는 과정이다. 모국어가 지역어인 학습자는 언어 간섭을 경험할 가능성이 있으며, 이는 발음에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구는 한국어 자음 비음화 현상과 그 발음에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서는 자음 비음화 이론을 적용하였으며, 질적 기술적 연구 방법을 사용하였다. 데이터는 설문 조사와 면담을 통해 수집되었으며, 분석은 PRAAT 소프트웨어를 활용하여 인도네시아 교육대학교(FPBS UPI) 한국어 교육과 2021년, 2022년, 2023년 학번 학생들을 대상으로 수행되었다. 연구 대상은 8명의 참여자로 구성되었으며, 온라인 개별 설문 조사 및 면담을 통해 자음 비음화가 포함된 19개 단어의 발음을 평가하였다.분석 결과, 파열음 + 비음 유형에서 가장 높은 비음화율45.83%을 보였으며, 같은 유형에서 47.92%의 단어는 비음화되지 않았다. 이는 해당 유형의 단어가 비교적 올바르게 발음될 수 있었으며, 일부 단어는 참여자들에게 익숙했기 때문이다. 그러나 자음이 겹쳐 있는 특정 단어들은 여전히 발음하기 어려운 것으로 나타났다. 자음 비음화에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 언어적 변이, 학습 기간, 그리고 언어 능력으로 분석되었다.본 연구의 결과는 교육자들이 효과적인 발음 교육을 제공하는 데 참고자료가 될 수 있으며, 학습자들이 한국어 자음 비음화를 습득하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다. 또한, 본 연구는 발음 능력 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대되며, 향후 한국어 자음 비음화에 대한 심층적인 연구의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다.
