Abstract
ABSTRAK Skripsi ini berjudul “Perkembangan Kawasan Industri dan Dampakanya Terhadap Perubahan Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Kecamatan Klari Kabupaten Karawang Tahun 1990-2020”. Permasalahan pokok yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini adalah bagaimana kawasan industri Kecamatan Klari terhadap perubahan sosial masyarakat Kecamatan Klari tahun 1990-2020. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode historis meliputi pengumpulan sumber baik sumber lisan maupun tulisan, kritik sumber, interpretasi dan historiografi. Konsep-konsep yang digunakan seperti perubahan sosial, desa, perkotaan, stratifikasi sosial, upah, agraris, industrialisasi, dan lain-lain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat ditemukan beberapa temuan, diantaranya: pertama, sebelum berkembangnya industri, masyarakat Kecamatan Klari bercorak agraris. Kedua, perkembangan kawasan industri di Kecamatan Klari dalam kurun waktu 1990-2020 terus mengalami perkembangan. Sepanjang perkembangannya, kawasan industri bukan hanya mempengaruhi lingkungan fisik, namun juga telah memberikan pengaruh terhadap kehidupan masyarakat Kecamatan Klari. Ketiga, perkembangan kawasan industri di Kecamatan Klari didominasi oleh perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan kain atau garmen. Keempat, dampak dari adanya kawasan industri ini telah memberikan perubahan kehidupan masyarakat di Kecamatan Klari. Keberadaan industri memberikan pengaruh terhadap pendapatan dan tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kelima Perubahan fisik dengan berkembangnya industri dapat memeberikan pemerataan pembangunan di Kecamatan Klari seperti adanya pembangunan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan, kesehatan, pertokoan, jalan, dan lain sebagainya. Dampak negatif dari berkembangnya kawasan industri ini terjadi penyempitan lahan resapan air sehingga menimbulkan bencana banjir, limbah industri maupun rumah tangga yang mencemari aliran sungai di Kecamatan Klari. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan kepada pemerintah daerah dan instansi terkait juga masyarakat secara luas dapat bekerja sama dalam hal membangun tingkat kesadaran terhadap lingkungan hidup. Kata Kunci: Perkembangan Industri, Perubahan Sosial Ekonomi, Kawasan Industri Kecamatan Klari ABSTRACK This thesis is entitled “The Development of Industrial Estates and Its Impact on Socio-Economic Changes in the Community of Klari District, Karawang Regency 1990-2020”. The main problem discussed in this thesis is how the industrial area of Klari Subdistrict affected the social changes of the Klari Subdistrict community in 1990-2020. The method used is the historical method including collecting sources both oral and written sources, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The concepts used are social change, rural, urban, social stratification, wages, agrarian, industrialization, and others. Based on the results of the research, several findings can be found, including: first, before the development of industry, the people of Klari Subdistrict had an agrarian character. Second, the development of the industrial estate in Klari Sub-district in the period 1990-2020 continues to experience development. Throughout its development, the industrial estate not only affects the physical environment, but also has an influence on the lives of the people of Klari Subdistrict. Third, the development of industrial estates in Klari Sub-district is dominated by companies engaged in fabric or garment processing. Fourth, the impact of the existence of this industrial area has changed the lives of people in Klari Sub-district. The existence of industry has an influence on income and the level of community welfare. Fifth, physical changes with the development of industry can provide equitable development in Klari Subdistrict such as the construction of educational facilities and infrastructure, health, shops, roads, and so on. The negative impact of the development of this industrial area is the narrowing of water absorption land, causing floods, industrial and household waste that pollutes the river flow in Klari District. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide input to the local government and related agencies as well as the wider community to work together in terms of building a level of awareness of the environment.
