    Abstract

    Indonesia sebagai negara beriklim tropis memiliki suhu tinggi yang dapat mempercepat waktu ikat pada beton. Untuk memperlambat waktu pengikatan beton diperlukan admixture. Penelitian ini menggunakan admixture Tipe B dan Tipe D untuk memperlambat waktu pengikatan semen. Persentase admixture yang digunakan adalah 0%, 0,1%, 0,3%, dan 0,5% dari berat semen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membandingkan kuat tekan beton dan waktu ikat semen dengan bahan tambah Tipe B dan Tipe D. Pengujian dilakukan dengan sampel silinder berukuran 10 cm x 20 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kuat tekan tertinggi beton dengan Tipe B pada 28 hari terdapat pada persentase 0,5% dengan nilai 35,8 MPa, sementara dengan Tipe D pada persentase 0,1% sebesar 35,96 MPa. Untuk waktu ikat, bahan tambah Tipe B dengan persentase 0%, 0,1%, 0,3%, dan 0,5% menghasilkan waktu 120, 150, 195, dan 210 menit, sedangkan Tipe D pada persentase yang sama menghasilkan waktu 120, 180, 495, dan 840 menit.

    Indonesia as a tropical country has high temperatures that can accelerate the binding time of concrete. To slow down the binding time of concrete, admixtures are needed. This study used admixture Type B and Type D to slow down the binding time of cement. The percentage of admixture used was 0%, 0.1%, 0.3%, and 0.5% by weight of cement. The objective of this study was to compare the compressive strength of concrete and cement bond time with Type B and Type D additives. Tests were conducted with cylindrical samples measuring 10 cm x 20 cm. The results showed that the highest compressive strength of concrete with Type B at 28 days was at a percentage of 0.5% with a value of 35.8 MPa, while with Type D at a percentage of 0.1% at 35.96 MPa. For the tie time, Type B additive with 0%, 0.1%, 0.3%, and 0.5% percentage resulted in 120, 150, 195, and 210 minutes, while Type D at the same percentage resulted in 120, 180, 495, and 840 minutes.
