Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena masih rendahnya keterampilan berhitung pada operasi perkalian, kesalahan dalam menempatkan nilai tempat dari hasil perkalian. Kemudian siswa merasa bosan dengan metode yang digunakan oleh guru dalam materi operasi hitung perkalian, sehingga diterapkan metode lattice. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode lattice terhadap keterampilan berhitung siswa. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain non equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu 31 Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kecamatan Cihaurbeuti dengan teknik pengambilan sampelnya yaitu Non�probability Sampling Design dengan metode purposive sampling, sehingga terpilih yang menjadi sampel penelitian yaitu SDN Padamulya 1 dan SDN Padamulya 2. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah instrumen tes dan nontes. Soal tes yang digunakan adalah terkait soal yang mengukur keterampilan berhitung yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas sebelumnya. Instrumen non tes berupa wawancara dan angket sebagai data pendukung penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode lattice memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan berhitung siswa sekolah dasar. Terbukti dari hasil uji beda rerata yang didapatkan melalui tes keterampilan berhitung dan hasil posttest lebih besar daripada hasil pretest di kelas eksperimen. Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode lattice dan metode konvensional, dimana terbukti melalui hasil uji beda rerata dan n-gain sebesar 0,54 dengan kategori sedang. Sementara dalam pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode konvensional, perolehan n-gain sebesar 0,30 dengan kategori rendah. Oleh karena itu, dapat direkomendasikan bahwa metode lattice dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berhitung siswa. This research was motivated by the low level of numeracy skills in multiplication operations, errors in placing the place value of the multiplication result. Then the students felt bored with the method used by the teacher in the material on multiplication calculation operations, so the lattice method was applied. This research aims to determine the effect of the lattice method on students' numeracy skills. The approach taken in this research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental method, with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was 31 public elementary schools in Cihaurbeuti District with the sampling technique namely Non-probability Sampling Design with a purposive sampling method, so that the research samples were selected, namely SDN Padamulya 1 and SDN Padamulya 2. The instrument used in the research was a test instrument. and non-test. The test questions used are related to questions that measure numeracy skills that have been previously tested for validity and reliability. Non-test instruments in the form of interviews and questionnaires as supporting research data. The research results show that the lattice method has a positive influence on elementary school students' numeracy skills. It is proven from the test results that the mean difference obtained through the numeracy skills test and the posttest results are greater than the pretest results in the experimental class. There is a difference in influence between learning using the lattice method and conventional methods, which is proven by the results of the mean difference test and n-gain of 0.54 in the medium category. Meanwhile, in learning using conventional methods, the n-gain was 0.30 in the low category. Therefore, it can be recommended that the lattice method can be used to improve students' numeracy skills.
