Abstract

Abctract: Application CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition) method to Enhance the Ability to Reading Comprehension Skills 3th Grade Students. This research aims to improve students ability to reading comprehension skills 3th grade at SDN 2 Suntenjaya District West Bandung through the application of the CIRC method. This research using classroom action research methods conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consisting of planning implementation, observation, and reflection. Research result obtained by the grade average scores and percentage complete learn cycle of 68,18 (57,14%), on the second cycle increased to 78,99 (86,48%), and the third cycle increased again to 84,44 (91,66%). Of these data showed that the students ability in reading comprehension skills increased after learning by applying the CIRC method. Abstrak: Penerapan Metode CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition) untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas III. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III di SDN 2 Suntenjaya Kabupaten Bandung Barat melalui penerapan metode CIRC. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu, nilai rata-rata kelas dan persentase ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I sebesar 68,18 (57,14%). Pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 78,99 (86,48%), dan siklus III meningkat menjadi 84,44 (91,66%). Dari data tersebut menunjukan bahwa keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa dalam memahami isi bacaan meningkat setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode CIRC.
