    Abstract

    Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) is a psychological phenomenon that often occurs in today's era, especially on social media such as Instagram. FoMO describes feelings of anxiety and worry about missing experiences or information that is considered important. This research aims to explore FoMO that occurs on Instagram influences students' decision making. This phenomenon has affected various aspects of users' lives, especially among students who actively use Instagram as part of their daily lives. FoMO is included in the discussion of social science, namely social psychology which studies a person's behavior in a social situation. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Social Sciences Education located at JI. Dr, Setiabudi No. 229. Data collection techniques use questionnaires. The aims of this research are: (1) to determine the level of FoMO of Indonesian Education University Social Sciences Education students, (2) to determine the influence of FoMO on Indonesian Education University Social Sciences Education students' decision making, and (3) to determine the relationship of FoMO to the decision making of Indonesian Education University Social Sciences Education students. Indonesia. The data analysis techniques used are linearity tests, correlation tests, and simple linear regression analysis tests. The research results show: 1) The level of FoMO of Social Sciences Education students at the Indonesian Education University is included in the medium category. 2) There is a positive influence between the FoMO variable on the Decision Making variable. 3) The results of correlation testing between FoMO and Decision Making have a fairly strong relationship.
