Abstract

Pantai Cemara yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Pakis, Kecamatan Banyuwangi, Kabupaten Banyuwangi merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata di kota Banyuwangi yang berbasis konservasi alam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas mangrove, tingkat keanekaragaman, dominansi, kemerataan, kekayaan jenis dan juga zonasi yang terbentuk pada vegetasi mangrove di Pantai Cemara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data vegetasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa indeks ekologi seperti indeks nilai penting, indeks keanekaragaman, indeks dominansi, indeks kemerataan, dan indeks kekayaan jenis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan struktur komunitas mangrove di Pantai Cemara terdiri dari lima jenis mangrove sejati dan satu jenis mangrove asosiasi, yaitu Acanthus ilicifolius, Avicennia alba, Excoecaria agallocha, Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia alba, dan Casuarina equisetifolia. Indeks nilai penting (INP) tertinggi tingkat pohon ditemukan pada jenis Casuarina equisetifolia (128,29%), Rhizophora mucronata (86,72%) pada tingkat pancang, dan Acanthus ilicifolius (64,41%) pada tingkat semai. Indeks keanekaragaman di Pantai Cemara tergolong sedang dengan rata-rata 1,21, indeks dominansi tergolong sedang dengan rata-rata 0,35, indeks kemerataan tergolong tinggi dengan rata-rata 0,78, dan indeks kekayaan jenis tergolong sangat rendah dengan rata-rata 0,93. Zonasi yang terbentuk pada vegetasi mangrove di Pantai Cemara berturut-turut dari arah laut ke darat, yaitu Casuarina equisetifolia, Rhizophora mucronata, Acanthus ilicifolius, Avicennia alba, Sonneratia alba, dan Excoecaria agallocha. Cemara Beach, located in Pakis Sub-district, Banyuwangi District, Banyuwangi Regency, is one of the tourist destinations in the city of Banyuwangi that is based on nature conservation. The aim of this research is to determine the structure of the mangrove community, the level of species diversity, dominance, evenness, richness, and the zonation of mangrove vegetation on Cemara Beach. This research uses an observation method with purposive sampling technique. Analysis of vegetation data in this study uses several ecological indices such as the importance value index, diversity index, dominance index, evenness index, and richness index of mangrove species. The research results show that the structure of the mangrove community at Cemara Beach consists of five species of true mangroves and one species of associated mangrove, which are Acanthus ilicifolius, Avicennia alba, Excoecaria agallocha, Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia alba, and Casuarina equisetifolia. The highest importance value index (IVI) at tree level was found in Casuarina equisetifolia (128.29%), Rhizophora mucronata (86.72%) at sapling level, and Acanthus ilicifolius (64.41%) at seedling level. The diversity index at Cemara Beach is classified as moderate with an average of 1.21, the dominance index is classified as moderate with an average of 0.35, the evenness index is classified as high with an average of 0.78, and the richness index is classified as very low with an average of 0.93. The zonation formed in the mangrove vegetation on Cemara Beach successively from sea to land is Casuarina equisetifolia, Rhizophora mucronata, Acanthus ilicifolius, Avicennia alba, Sonneratia alba, and Excoecaria agallocha.
