Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh terjadinya pro dan kontra atas dicalonkannya figur artis menjadi pemimpin. Saat Pemilihan Gubernur (Pilgub) di Jawa Barat untuk periode 2013-2018 terlihat lebih menarik dan mewarnai kancah politik karena ada dua Calon Gubernur (Cagub) dan satu Calon Wakil Gubernur (Cawagub) yang lebih dahulu dikenal masyarakat sebagai figur seorang artis daripada figur politisi. Hingga akhirnya terpilihnya Deddy Mizwar sebagai wakil gubernur menjadi sejarah bagi Jawa Barat yang telah dua kali memiliki wakil gubernur dari kalangan artis, karena sebelumnya wakil gubernur Jawa Barat dipegang oleh Dede Yusuf. Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui sejauh mana preferensi masyarakat Kota Bandung dalam pemilihan gubernur dan wakil gubernur Jawa Barat pada tahun 2013 dan tujuan khususnya adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh figur artis terhadap preferensi politik masyarakat Kota Bandung dalam Pilgub Jabar 2013, 2) Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara popularitas figur artis terhadap preferensi politik masyarakat Kota Bandung dalam Pilgub Jabar 2013, dan 3) Untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang dapat mempengaruhi preferensi masyarakat Kota Bandung dalam Pilgub Jabar 2013. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah kuesioner (angket), wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah: 1) Figur artis berpengaruh signifikan terhadap preferensi politik masyarakat Kota Bandung, 2) Terdapat hubungan antara popularitas figur artis terhadap preferensi politik masyarakat Kota Bandung dalam Pilgub Jabar 2013, dan 3) Faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi preferensi masyarakat Kota Bandung dalam Pilgub Jabar 2013 adalah faktor lingkungan, media, kesamaan ideologi, tempat kelahiran, agama, memiliki sifat karismatik, take record yang bagus, visi misi yang bagus, tidak banyak janji, dan memiliki tutur kata yang sopan dan halus. Adapun saran dari penelitian ini ditujukan kepada masyarakat Kota Bandung, Jurusan PKn dan peneliti selanjutnya. This research is motivated by the pros and cons of being a leader dicalonkannya figure artist . When the election of Governor ( Pilgub ) in West Java for the period 2013 to 2018 looks more attractive and coloring politics because there are two Candidates for Governor ( Cagub ) and a Candidate Deputy Governor ( Cawagub ) is first known to the public as a figure of an artist rather than political figures . Until finally elected as vice governor Deddy Mizwar become history for West Java who has twice had the deputy governor of the artist , because previously the deputy governor of West Java held by Dede Yusuf . The general objective of this study was to determine the extent to which people's preferences in the selection of Bandung governor and deputy governor of West Java in 2013 and in particular the following objectives : 1 ) To determine how much influence the figure of the artist to the political preferences of people in Bandung in West Java Governor Election 2013 , 2 ) To determine the relationship between the popularity of figure artist to political preferences people in Bandung in West Java Governor Election 2013 , and 3 ) To determine what factors can affect people's preferences Bandung in West Java Governor Election 2013 . The approach of this research is a quantitative approach . The method used in this study is a descriptive study . Data collection techniques conducted a questionnaire ( questionnaire ) , interviews , observation , and documentation . The results obtained are : 1 ) Figure artist significant effect on the political preferences of people in Bandung , 2 ) There is a relationship between the popularity of the figure of the artist to the political preferences of people in Bandung in West Java Governor Election 2013 , and 3 ) Factors that may affect the preferences of people in Bandung in West Java Governor Election 2013 is the environmental factors , the media , equality ideology , place of birth , religion , has a charismatic nature , take a good record , good vision and mission , not a lot of promise , and has said words were polite and refined . The suggestion of this research is addressed to people in Bandung , Department of Civics and further research .
