Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 6 Cikidang Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas IV A dengan jumlah 27 siswa yang terdiri dari 13 siswa laki-laki dan 14 siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan proses sains dasar siswa SD kelas IV. Hal ini ditandai dengan nilai rata-rata tes pra siklus yang dilaksanakan hanya mencapai 50,74, namun target KKM yang diharapkan 65. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dasar siswa dengan menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan mengadaptasi model PTK Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dengan tiga siklus dimana pada setiap siklusnya dilakukan satu tindakan. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa tes siklus, lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa serta catatan lapangan. Penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual ini memiliki bebeapa tahapan, yaitu: 1) Tahap Relating, 2) Tahap Experiencing, 3) Tahap Applying, 4) Tahap Cooperating, dan 5) Tahap Transferring. Hasil penelitian dengan menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV materi gaya mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus pertama, kedua dan ketiga masing-masing mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 71,48, 78,89, dan 87,78. Terdapat peningkatan persentase kelulusan siswa pada setiap siklusnya, yaitu siklus I 70.37%, siklus II 85.19% dan siklus III 96.30%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Pendekatan Pembelajaran Kontekstual dalam pembelajaran IPA materi gaya dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dasar siswa kelas IV. Adapun saran yang hendak disampaikan kepada guru, hendaknya menjadi guru yang kreatif dan mampu menciptakan pembelajaran dengan kegiatan inkuiri ilmiah di kelas agar pembelajaran dapat bermakna. kata kunci: pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual, keterampilan proses sains dasar, gaya. This research takes place in SDN 6 Cikidang Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. This research is based on the assumption problem of students that science is only related to memorize formulas, concepts and laws that exist in the material science that learned and weak implementation of applied learning process of teachers in schools. This causes the meaningfulness of material science to students is very less and do not develop the basic science process skills students should have to solve problems that occur in the environment. Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach able to help students see the significance of the material they are learning by linking subjects with the material in the context of daily life so as to enhance the basic science process skills of fourth grade elementary school students. Subjects in this research were fourth grade students of SDN 6 Cikidang West Bandung regency by the number of students 27. This research was conducted in three cycles. The results of research by applying Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach to learning science in the fourth grade increased force material. In the first cycle, second and third respectively increased by an average value obtained at 71.48, 78.89, and 87.78. There is an increase in the percentage of students passing in each cycle, the first cycle of 70.37%, 85.19% and the second cycle of the third cycle of 96.30%. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach in material science learning force can enhance the basic science process skills of fourth grade students. The suggestions for the teachers as a facilitator for students teachers should be creative and innovative in planning a lesson for example is able to plan or use learning media in the learning process therefore the learning becomes more meaningful for students. keywords: contextual teaching and learning approach, basic science process skills, force.
