Abstract

Model pembelajaran MoMen-AR merupakan model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan untuk mengkonstruksi model mental. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendapatkan informasi mengenai pengaruh Model pembelajaran MoMen-AR terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan model mental siswa dalam materi perpindahan kalor. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method, dengan desain experimental mixed method design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Atas di Ciamis. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu tes dan nontes. Instrumen tes berupa tes kemampuan kognitif dengan format pilihan ganda dan tes model mental dengan format uraian. Instrumen non-tes berupa lembar validasi instrumen, lembar validasi Augmented Reality, dan lembar observasi pembelajaran. Analisis peningkatan kemampuan kognitif dan kosntruksi model mental menggunakan n-gain dan uji hipotesis, pengaruh model pembelajaran MoMen-AR terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan model mental menggunakan effect size cohen’d, dan untuk mengidentifikasi transformasi model mental menggunakan rubrik model mental. Hasil penelitian ini kemampuan kognitif dan model mental siswa meningkat setelah mendapatkan intervensi model pembelajaran MoMen-AR. Nilai n-gain kemampuan kognitif pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 0,46 termasuk dalam kategori sedang, nilai n-gain model mental pada kelas eksprimen yaitu 0,53 termasuk kategori sedang. Model pembelajaran MoMen-AR berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa ditunjukan dengan nilai effect size cohen’d kemampuan kognitif yaitu 1,62. Model pembelajaran MoMen-AR berpengaruh dalam mengkonstruksi model mental siswa ditunjukan dengan nilai effect size cohen’d model mental 0,895. Transformasi model mental kelas eksperimen lebih banyak yang mengalami transformasi positif daripada kelas kontrol. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dari kemampuan kognitif terhadap model mental. MoMen-AR learning model is a learning model developed to construct mental models. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the effect of the MoMen-AR learning model on students' cognitive abilities and mental models in heat transfer material. This research uses mixed method, with experimental mixed method design. The sample in this study was class XI students in one of the Senior High Schools in Ciamis. The instruments used in this research are tests and non-tests. Test instruments in the form of cognitive ability tests with multiple choice format and mental model tests with description format. Non-test instruments in the form of instrument validation sheets, Augmented Reality validation sheets, and learning observation sheets. Analysis of the improvement of cognitive abilities and mental model construction using n-gain and hypothesis testing, the effect of the MoMen-AR learning model on cognitive abilities and mental models using cohen'd effect size, and to identify mental model transformation using mental model rubrics. The results of this study showed that students' cognitive abilities and mental models improved after receiving the MoMen-AR learning model intervention. The n-gain value of cognitive ability in the experimental class is 0.46 including in the medium category, the n-gain value of mental models in the experimental class is 0.53 including the medium category. MoMen-AR learning model has an effect in improving students' cognitive abilities indicated by the effect size value of cohen'd cognitive ability which is 1.62. The MoMen-AR learning model has an effect in constructing students' mental models indicated by the effect size cohen'd mental model value of 0.895. More experimental class mental model transformations experienced positive transformations than the control class. Regression test results show a positive influence of cognitive abilities on mental models.
