Abstract
NurJannah Indah Permatasari 1003367 ABSTRACT This research is titled, “The Implementation of Scientific Approach on Natural Science Concept in a Variety of Work Theme to Increase Creative Thinking of Elementary School Students”. The research sets on some problem regarding student’screative thinking on learning Natural Science subject. This finding was discovered prior to the first observation that show students of State Elementary School 6 Cibogostill lacks the ability of creative thinking. In this research, the studied aspect is the fluency and authenticity of student’s creative thinking. One of the methods that have been used is to increase creative thinking with the implementation of scientific approach. The purpose of this research is to 1) know the learning plan with the implementation of scientific approach on natural science concept in a variety of work theme to increase creative thinking of students, 2) to know the learning execution with the implementation of scientific approach on natural science concept in a variety of work theme to increase creative thinking of students, and 3) to know the increase of students creative thinking after the scientific approach implementation. This research is a class activity study that begins with planning, execution, observation and reflection which leads to improvement plan on the next phase. This research is done in three cycles. Observation and creative thinking test result was the method of collecting data in this research. The research found that the average creative thinking fluency aspect value on pre-cycle or before execution is 44 out of maximum 100. The first cycle shows increase for 63 out of 100, the second cycle shows increase for 82 out of 100 and the increase was also shown on the third cycle for 93 out of 100. As for the average creative thinking authenticity aspect value on pre-cycle or before execution are 41 out of maximum 100. The first cycle shows increase for 70 out of 100, the second cycle shows increase for 82 out of 100 and the increase keep showing on the third cycle for 95 out of 100. The above data shows that students creative thinking ability is increasing after the implementation of scientific approach in learning method. Keywords: Scientific Approach, Creative Thinking. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berjudul, “Penerapan Pendekatan Saintifik Pada Konsep IPA Dalam Tema Berbagai Pekerjaan Untuk Meningkatkan Kreativitas Berpikir Siswa Sekolah Dasar”. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi beberapa permasalahan kreativitas berpikir siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA. Hal ini didasarkan pada hasil observasi awal yang menunjukan bahwa kreativitas berpikir siswa di SDN 6 Cibogo masih kurang. Dalam penelitian ini kreativitas berpikir yang diteliti yaitu dalam aspek kelancaran dan keaslian. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan yaitu meningkatkan kreativitas berpikir dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik. Tujuan yang hendak diacapai dalam penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mengetahui perencanaan pembelajaran dengan penerapan pendekatan saintifik pada konsep ipa dalam tema berbagai pekerjaan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas berpikir siswa, (2) mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan penerapan pendekatan saintifik pada konsep IPA dalam tema berbagai pekerjaan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas berpikir siswa, dan (3) mengetahui peningkatan kreativitas berpikir siswa setelah menerapkan pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi untuk kemudian membuat perencanaan perbaikan pada siklus berikutnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil observasi dan hasil tes kreativitas berpikir siswa. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu, nilai rata-rata kreativitas berpikir aspek kelancaran pada pra siklus atau sebelum diberi tindakan adalah 44 dari nilai rata-rata maksimal 100 lalu pada siklus I meningkat sebesar 63 dari nilai rata-rata maksimal 100, pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 82 dari nilai rata-rata maksimal 100 dan kembali meningkar pada siklus III menjadi 93 dari nilai rata-rata maksimal 100. Dan nilai rata-rata kreativitas berpikir aspek keaslian pada pra siklus atau sebelum diberi tindakan adalah 41 dari nilai rata-rata maksimal 100 lalu pada siklus I meningkat sebesar 70 dari nilai rata-rata maksimal 100, pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 82 dari nilai rata-rata maksimal 100 dan kembali meningkar pada siklus III menjadi 95 dari nilai rata-rata maksimal 100. Dari data tersebut menunjukan bahwa kreativitas berpikirsiswa meningkat setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik. Kata kunci : pendekatan saintifik, kreativitas berpikir
