Abstract
Situ Bagendit adalah danau wisata dan kawasan lindung yang terletak di Kabupaten Garut. Sejak tahun 2000 Situ Bagendit dikelola oleh Disparbud Kabupaten Garut dan mulai dibuka untuk wisatawan. Pada tahun 2020-2022 Situ Bagendit mengalami revitalisasi. Revitalisasi yang dilakukan meliputi penambahan fasilitas dan penertiban area danau. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan mengingat Situ Bagendit telah mengalami revitalisasi yang memengaruhi sifat fisika dan kimia air yang merupakan habitat plankton, selain itu kawasan ini adalah kawasan lindung yang harus dipantau kualitasnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Juni 2023 – Februari 2024 dengan teknik purposive sampling dan penetapan lima stasiun sampling berdasarkan karakteristik dan revitalisasi. Sampling dilakukan tiga kali dengan periode sampling setiap satu bulan sekali. Berdasarkan hasil tiga sampling, faktor abiotik chemical oxygen demand (COD), kecerahan, dan total nitrogen tidak sesuai dengan baku mutu air kelas II. Pada data plankton ditemukan 87 jenis dan 411 individu plankton, yang terdiri dari 10 kelas fitoplankton dan 5 kelas zooplankton. Kelimpahan fitoplankton berkisar antara 200 – 9.400 ind/m3, sedangkan kelimpahan zooplankton berkisar antara 200 – 1.800 ind/m3. Kelimpahan plankton tertinggi terdapat pada kelas Cyanophyceae dan Bacillariophyceae. Nilai keanekaragaman plankton dalam kategori sedang (3,0) tanpa adanya jenis yang mendominasi signifikan. Ditemukan plankton indikator eutrofikasi dan pencemaran seperti Microcytis sp, Oscillatoria, Nitzschia dll. Hal ini sejalan dengan faktor abiotik kecerahan perairan, total nitrogen perairan dan klorofil-a yang menujukan adanya eutrofikasi. Situ Bagendit is a tourist lake and protected area located in Garut Regency. Since 2000, Situ Bagendit has been managed by the Garut Regency Tourism and Culture Office and has begun to be opened to tourists. In 2020-2022 Situ Bagendit will experience revitalization. The revitalization carried out includes adding facilities and tidying up the lake area. This research is important to carry out considering that Situ Bagendit has undergone revitalization which affects the physical and chemical properties of the water which is a plankton habitat, besides that this area is a protected area whose quality must be monitored. This research was conducted in June 2023 – February 2024 using a purposive sampling technique and determining five sampling stations based on characteristics and revitalization. Sampling was carried out three times with a sampling period once every month. Based on the results of three samplings, the abiotic factors chemical oxygen demand (COD), brightness and total nitrogen do not comply with class II water quality standards. In the plankton data, 87 types and 411 individuals of plankton were found, consisting of 10 phytoplankton classes and 5 zooplankton classes. The abundance of phytoplankton ranges between 200 – 9,400 ind/m3, while the abundance of zooplankton ranges between 200 – 1,800 ind/m3. The highest abundance of plankton is found in the Cyanophyceae and Bacillariophyceae classes. The plankton diversity value is in the medium category (3.0) without any significant dominant species. Plankton indicators of eutrophication and pollution were found such as Microcytis sp, Oscillatoria, Nitzschia etc. This is in line with the abiotic factors of water brightness, total water nitrogen and chlorophyll-a which indicate eutrophication.
