Abstract

Anggrek merupakan salah satu tumbuhan yang sangat unik, karena
bunganya memiliki variasi warna dan bentuk yang, beranekaragam. Disisi lain,
keberadaan anggrek di Gunung Sanggara telah terancam Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman, kelimpahan dan distribusi anggrek epifit yang
berada di kawasan Gunung Sanggara. Penelitian ini dilakasanakan pada bulan Juni
2023 dengan menggunakan metode cruising berbantuan Global Positioning System
(GPS) sebagai penanda adanya anggrek, dilakukan pada tiga jalur di kawasan
Gunung Sanggara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan di kawasan Gunung Sanggara
terdapat 22 spesies dari 14 genus anggrek epifit dengan total 1606 individu. Genus
yang ditemukan di kawasan Gunung Sanggara yaitu Appendicula, Bulbophyllum,
Ceratostylis, Coelegyne, Dendrobium, Dendrochilum, Dipodium, Eria, Liparis,
Oberonio, Mycaranthes, Pholidota, Pinalia, dan Schoenorchis. Keanekaragaman
anggrek epifit di kawasan Gunung Sanggara tergolong sedang, dengan indeks
Shannon-Wienner sebesar 2,3. Anggrek terdistribusi dari ketinggian 176-1925
mdpl. Gunung Sanggara dapat menjadi habitat yang mendukung untuk
pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anggrek epifit.

Orchids are among the unique plants with diverse variations in color and shape.
However, their existence on Mount Sanggara is under threat. This research aims to explore
the diversity, abundance, and distribution of epiphytic orchids in the Mount Sanggara area.
Conducted in June 2023, the study utilized cruising methodology assisted by the Global
Positioning System (GPS) to mark orchid locations along three routes on Mount Sanggara.
The findings reveal the presence of 22 epiphytic orchid species, totaling 1606 individuals
in the Mount Sanggara region. Fourteen genera were identified, including Appendicula,
Bulbophyllum, Ceratostylis, Coelegyne, Dendrobium, Dendrochilum, Dipodium, Eria,
Liparis, Oberonia, Mycaranthes, Pholidota, Pinalia, and Schoenorchis. The epiphytic
orchid diversity in the Mount Sanggara area is moderate, with a Shannon-Wiener index of
2.3. Orchids are distributed across elevations ranging from 176 to 1925 meters above sea
level. Mount Sanggara can be considered a supportive habitat for the growth and
development of epiphytic orchids..
