Abstract

Tingginya kebutuhan permukiman yang layak di Kecamatan Parongpong belum dicukupi dengan baik. Kebutuhan lahan semakin meningkat sejalan dengan pertumbuhan penduduk dan kegiatan sosial ekonomi yang turut menyertai seperti bertumbuhnya perekonomian yang menuntut pembangunan fisik berupa jalan, permukiman dan bangunan industri. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis: 1) Penggunaan Lahan Kecamatan Parongpong pada tahun 2022, 2) Sebaran Lahan Yang Sesuai Berdasarkan Aspek Fisik, 3) Tingkat Kesesuaian Lahan, dan 4) Arahan Kegiatan Permukiman Berdasarkan Evaluasi Kesesuaian Lahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan Sistem Informasi Geografis. Hasil menunjukan bahwa penggunaan lahan di Kecamatan Parongpong didominasi oleh lahan dengan klasifikasi Sangat Tidak Sesuai seluas 1586,688 Hektar. Sebaran lahan yang sesuai berdasarkan aspek fisik untuk lokasi permukiman didominasi oleh lahan yang sesuai dengan luas 1403,294 Hektar. Tingkat kesesuaian lahan untuk lokasi permukiman didominasi oleh lahan dengan kelas sesuai yaitu seluas 1382,273 Hektar. Sedangkan pada hasil evaluasi kesesuaian lahan yang di overlay dengan Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah menghasilkan lahan dengan hasil tertinggi ialah klasifikasi Sesuai seluas 761,497 Hektar. Penggunaan Lahan untuk area permukiman warga di kawasan Kecamatan Parongpong harus senantiasa memperhatikan beberapa aspek fisik yang terdapat di wilayah tersebut seperti kemiringan lereng 8-15%, curah hujan yang sedang, gerakan tanah serta jenis tanah yang sesuai, hidrologi yang sesuai, dan jarak dari jalan utama yang sangat sesuai. Maka dari itu perlu adanya pengkajian lebih lanjut untuk perizinan pembangunan untuk kawasan permukiman sebelum dilakukannya pembangunan, karena pada lahan di Kecamatan Parongpong terdapat beberapa wilayah dengan total seluas 5,550 Hektar lahan yang Sangat Tidak Sesuai untuk dijadikan wilayah permukiman. The high need for adequate housing in Parongpong District has not been adequately met. The need for land is increasing in line with population growth and the socio-economic activities that accompany it, such as economic growth, which demands physical development in the form of roads, settlements, and industrial buildings. The aim of this research is to analyze: 1) Parongpong District Land Use in 2022; 2) Distribution of Suitable Land Based on Physical Aspects; 3) Level of Land Suitability; and 4) Direction of Settlement Activities Based on Land Suitability Evaluation. The research method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative method with a Geographic Information Systems approach. The results show that land use in Parongpong District is dominated by land with a Very Unsuitable classification covering an area of 1586,688 hectares. The distribution of suitable land based on physical aspects for residential locations is dominated by suitable land with an area of 1403,294 hectares. The level of land suitability for residential locations is dominated by land with a suitable class, namely 1382,273 hectares. Meanwhile, the results of the evaluation of land suitability, which were overlaid with the Regional Spatial Plan resulted in the land with the highest results being the Suitable classification covering an area of 761,497 hectares. Land use for residential areas in the Parongpong District area must always pay attention to several physical aspects in the area such as slopes of 8-15%, moderate rainfall, appropriate ground movement and soil type, appropriate hydrology, and distance from roads. The main thing is that it is very suitable. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further studies regarding development permits for residential areas before construction is carried out, because on land in Parongpong District, there are several areas with a total area of 5,550 hectares that are very unsuitable for use as residential areas.
