Abstract

Kabupaten Majalengka merupakan salah satu daerah yang terletak di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Pesona alam menuju Kabupaten Majalengka yang dihiasi pegunungan dan perbukitan, membuatnnya menjadi daya tarik tersendiri. Tradisi dan kuliner merupakan keunggulan yang dapat dijadikan daya tarik wisata. Salah satu kuliner khas yang terdapat di Kabupaten Majalengka yaitu gula cakar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui potensi serta upaya dalam melestarikan gula cakar sebagai wisata gastronomi. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data pada pendekatan kuantitatif yaitu dengan menggunakan angket kuisioner. Sedangkan, pada pendekatan kualitatif peneliti menggunakan proses wawancara, observasi mendalam serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran nona helix dalam mengembangkan makanan khas, kemudian dari hasil tersebut peneliti dapat menyimpulkan potensi gula cakar untuk dikembangkan dan dijadikan wisata gastronomi Kabupaten Majalengka. Kata Kunci: Pelestarian, Gula Cakar, daya tarik wisata gastronomi Majalengka Regency is one of the areas located in West Java Province. The location of Majalengka Regency which is surrounded by mountains makes it one of the tourist destinations. Nature, tradition and culinary are part of tourism activities. This study aims to find out one of the traditional foods typical of Majalengka Regency, namely gula cakarr in terms of the gastronomic component, in preserving this special food and see the potential of claw sugar as a gastronomic tourist attraction in Majalengka Regency. The method used in this study is to use a quantitative approach and describe it with a qualitative approach (mix method). To obtain the required data, this research was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate the gastronomic components contained in typical food as a gastronomic tourist attraction in Majalengka Regency. The identification of efforts to preserve claw sugar as a special food carried out by Miss Helix and how much potential gula cakar has to be used as gastronomic tourism shows the results to be developed into a gastronomic tourist attraction.
