Abstract

Keadaan kecemasan mahasiswa yang belebihan dalam menghadapi seluruh tanggung
jawab dan kewajiban dalam proses pembelajaran serta perubahan lingkungan belajar pada
keadaan tertentu yang terjadi pada dirinya dan kemampuannya. Kecemasan dapat
memberikan dapak positif bagi mahasiswa untuk sadar dan termotivasi. Namun apabila
kecemasan tersebut melebihi batas wajar maka akan memberikan dampak yang negatif dan
merugikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran kecemasan
akademik dan menginformasi tentang kecemasan akademik melalui media BK. Peneliti
menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis deskriptif dengan subjek 385 mahasiswa.
Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner dari kecemasan akademik oleh Ottens (1991)
yaitu pola kecemasan yang menimbulkan aktivitas mental, perhatian yang menunjukkan
arah yang salah, distress secara fisik, perilaku yang kurang tepat. Data diperoleh dengan
menyebar instrumen berupa kuesioner yang dilakukan uji validitas dengan nilai
signifikansi >0,05 dan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,845. Hasil penelitian tersebut
menunjukkan kecemasan akademik mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Angkatan 2022
Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia secara umum sebagian besar pada kategori tidak cemas
dan sebagian kecil berada pada kategori cemas serta hasil uji beda Non Parametrik antar
program studi didapati terdapat perbedaan dengan Kruskal Wallis dan Mann Whitney.
Implikasi dari penelitian ini berupa informasi media BK berupa poster mengenai
kecemasan akademik dan pengembangan pada setiap aspek kecemasan akademik.

Students' greater anxiety in the situation of facing all responsibilities and obligations in
the learning process as well as changes in the learning environment in certain
circumstances that occur to them and their abilities. Anxiety can have a positive impact on
students being aware and motivated. However, if this anxiety exceeds reasonable limits, it
will have negative and detrimental impacts. This research aims to describe the picture of
academic anxiety and provide information about academic anxiety through BK media.
Researchers used quantitative methods with a descriptive type with 385 students as
subjects. The instrument used was a questionnaire on academic anxiety by Ottens (1991),
namely a pattern of anxiety that causes mental activity, attention that points in the wrong
direction, physical distress, inappropriate behavior. Data was obtained by distributing
instruments in the form of questionnaires which were tested for validity with a significance
value of >0.05 and a reliability coefficient of 0.845. The results of this research show that
the academic anxiety of students at the Faculty of Education Class of 2022 at the
Indonesian University of Education, in general, is mostly in the not anxious category and
a small number are in the anxious category and the results of the Non-Parametric
difference test between study programs were found to be different from Kruskal Wallis and
Mann Whitney. The implication of this research is in the form of BK information media in
the form of posters regarding academic anxiety and development in every aspect of
academic anxiety.
