Abstract
Keterampilan berkomunikasi, kreativitas, kolaborasi, berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah (critical thinking and problem solving) menjadi sangat penting di era modern ini. Kreativitas menjadi salah satu hal terpenting yang bisa diterapkan sejak anak usia dini. Peran pendidikan seni yang multidimensional pada dasarnya dapat mengembangkan kemampuan dasar manusia, seperti fisik, perseptual, intelektual, emosional, sosial, kreativitas dan estetik. Ganara Art merupakan Lembaga Pendidikan Seni didirikan pada 2013 oleh Tita Djumaryo dan suaminya, sebagai perwujudan mimpi mereka mendirikan sekolah seni untuk semua usia dengan pendekatan yang jauh lebih kreatif dan edukatif. Jika dilihat dari segi desain komunikasi visual, Ganara belum memiliki graphic standard manual, kekhasan pada desain dan media promosi, perlu adanya penguatan dalam mengkomunikasikan apa yang menjadi harapan Ganara Art. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk merancang visual branding melalui konsep desain berdasarkan identifikasi masalah sebagai upaya meningkatkan brand awareness, memperkenalkan Ganara Art melalui bahasa visual, serta menjadikan Ganara Art sebagai Top of Mind diantara kompetitor. Teori yang dijadikan landasan perancang adalah teori Visual Branding. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan metode perancangan prosedural yang sifatnya deskriptif, yaitu mengacu pada buku Designing Brand Identity by Alina Wheeler. Hasil dari perancangan ini adalah identitas visual Ganara Art serta aplikasinya pada berbagai media promosi digital maupun cetak Melalui perancangan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan brand awareness Ganara Art serta kesadaran akan pengembangan karakter melalui seni. Communication skills, creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving are very important in this modern era. Creativity is one of the most important things that can be applied from an early age. The multidimensional role of arts education can basically develop basic human abilities, such as physical, perceptual, intellectual, emotional, social, creative and aesthetic. Ganara Art is an Art Education Institution founded in 2013 by Tita Djumaryo and her husband, as the realization of their dream of establishing an art school for all ages with a much more creative and educational approach. If seen from the perspective of visual communication design, Ganara does not yet have a standard graphic manual, uniqueness in design and promotional media, there needs to be strengthening in communicating what Ganara Art hopes for. This design aims to design visual branding through a design concept based on problem identification as an effort to increase brand awareness, introduce Ganara Art through visual language, and make Ganara Art Top of Mind among competitors. The theory used as a basis for designers is Visual Branding theory. The method used is qualitative, with a descriptive procedural design method, namely referring to the book Designing Brand Identity by Alina Wheeler. The result of this design is Ganara Art's visual identity and its application in various digital and print promotional media. Through this design, it is hoped that it can increase Ganara Art's brand awareness, strengthen the image of ganara art and awareness of character development through art.
