Abstract
Implikasi dari pandemi COVID-19 telah mengantarkan kita pada adopsi sistem kerja baru, yaitu melalui komunikasi internal dalam Telecommuting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi komunikasi internal yang diterapkan oleh PT ALAMI Sharia dalam mengelola program Telecommuting bagi karyawan. Penelitian ini mengadopsi teori Ronald D. Smith dan teori strategic planning sebagai kerangka teoritisnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur dengan pimpinan perusahaan serta karyawan yang terlibat dalam praktik Telecommuting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) PT ALAMI Sharia memiliki pemahaman yang baik terhadap aspek komunikasi internal dalam konteks pengelolaan Telecommuting. (2) Strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan mencakup pendekatan proaktif dan responsif dalam menjalin komunikasi antara karyawan dan perusahaan. (3) Implementasi program Telecommuting difokuskan pada pendekatan personal dan kesejahteraan karyawan. (4) Dalam proses evaluasi, perusahaan melakukan monitoring dan survei terhadap karyawan dan ditemukan faktor penghambat diantaranya psikologis, misspersepsi komunikasi, ritme kerja, dan regulasi. Selain itu, terdapat faktor pendukung seperti kondisi sosial ekonomi dan sumber daya manusia yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan program Telecommuting. Dengan demikian, simpulan penelitian ini adalah dalam mekanisme kerja baru, program Telecommuting perlu dilaksanakan secara optimal dengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek pada strategi komunikasi internal. The implications of the COVID-19 pandemic have led us to adopt a new work system, namely through internal communication in Telecommuting. This study aims to examine the internal communication strategy implemented by PT ALAMI Syariah in managing the Telecommuting program for employees. This study adopts Ronald D. Smith's theory and strategic planning theory as its theoretical framework. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with company leaders and employees involved in Telecommuting practices. The results of the study show (1) PT ALAMI Syariah has a good understanding of internal communication aspects in the context of Telecommuting management. (2) The communication strategy implemented includes a proactive and responsive approach in building communication between employees and the company. (3) The implementation of the Telecommuting program focuses on a personal approach and employee welfare. (4) In the evaluation process, the company monitors and supervises employees and found inhibiting factors including psychological, misperception of communication, work rhythm, and regulations. In addition, there are supporting factors such as socio-economic conditions and human resources that influence the success of the Telecommuting program. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that in a new working mechanism, the Telecommuting program needs to be implemented optimally by taking into account aspects of the internal communication strategy.
