Abstract

Pembuatan modul berorientasi Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa kelas IV merupakan upaya merancang materi pembelajaran yang mencakup pendekatan PBL dalam rangka mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa kelas IV. Teknik desain dan pengembangan (D&D) yang dikembangkan oleh Branch digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yang terdiri dari lima tahap: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi, disingkat ADDIE. Peneliti mengembangkan rancangan modul secara sistematis, meliputi komponen dasar modul, identitas siswa, kata pengantar, daftar isi, pemetaan kompetensi dasar, tujuan pembelajaran, petunjuk penggunaan modal, isi atau materi modul, soal latihan, lembar kerja siswa, jurnal refleksi, dan pajangan. Modul berhasil diselesaikan. Metode validasi ahli (ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli bahasa) memberikan penilaian yang akurat terhadap modul peneliti. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ahli materi mendapat kategori sangat baik, disusul ahli media. Ahli bahasa juga menerima nilai tinggi. Secara keseluruhan, modul ini mendapatkan rata-rata kategori sangat baik yang menunjukkan bahwa modul yang diberikan oleh peneliti dapat digunakan. Uji coba produk dilakukan langsung di kelas, diawali dengan tes awal atau pre-test dengan skor lima puluh empat, dilanjutkan dengan tes akhir atau post-test dengan skor rata-rata 88,7%. Uji Ngain kemudian digunakan untuk melakukan uji keefektifan modul, dengan hasil perhitungan rata-rata menunjukkan nilai kategori efektif. Hasilnya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul peneliti secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil berpikir kritis. Dengan pemikiran tersebut, maka pengembangan modul berorientasi PBL dapat diasumsikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa. Modul-modul ini dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa Kelas IV sekaligus memfasilitasi pembelajaran yang menarik dan menantang. Making a Problem Based Learning (PBL) oriented module to foster critical thinking skills in fourth grade students is an effort to design learning materials that include a PBL approach in order to develop critical thinking skills in fourth grade students. The design and development (D&D) technique developed by Branch was used in this study, which consisted of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, abbreviated as ADDIE. The researcher developed the module design systematically, including the basic components of the module, student identity, preface, table of contents, mapping of basic competencies, learning objectives, instructions for using capital, module content or materials, practice questions, student worksheets, reflection journals, and displays. Module completed successfully. Expert validation methods (material experts, media experts, and language experts) provide an accurate assessment of the research module. Based on the results of the research, material experts received a very good category, followed by media experts. Linguists also received high marks. Overall this module gets a very good average category which indicates that the module provided by the researcher can be used. Product trials were carried out directly in class, starting with an initial test or pretest with a score of fifty four, followed by a final test or posttest with an average score of 88.7%. The Ngain test is then used to test the effectiveness of the module, with the average calculation results showing the value of the effective category. As a result, it can be concluded that the researcher module significantly improves the results of critical thinking. With that in mind, it can be assumed that the development of PBL-oriented modules can improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. These modules can be adapted to the needs of Grade IV students while facilitating interesting and challenging learning.
