Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan pendidik yang masih belum mengetahui secara optimal mengenai informasi gaya belajar peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Umumnya pendidik mengajar dengan kurang tepat karena tidak memperhatikan gaya belajar yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Gaya belajar peserta didik dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilan dan kegagalan dari prestasi belajar peserta didik. Maka, diperlukan instrument yang akurat dan mudah digunakan oleh pendidik untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai gaya belajar dengan tepat. Model penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan penelitian campuran (Mixed Method), dengan metode pengembangan dengan desain Educational Design Research (EDR). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara studi literatur, observasi, wawancara, validasi ahli, dan angket respon pendidik. Penelitian ini menghasilkan dua produk yaitu buku panduan dan lembar angket soal tes gaya belajar VAK (Visual, Auditorial, dan Kinestetik). Dilaksanakan di SDN Bantarujeg 2, khusunya pada kelas tinggi. Uji coba pertama melibatkan 1 pendidik dan 10 peserta didik kelas 6, dengan hasil deteksi terdapat gaya belajar dominan sebanyak 40% Auditroial dan 40% Kinestetik. Sedangkan uji coba kedua melibatkan 3 pendidik dan 39 peserta didik kelas 4, 5, dan 6, dengan hasil deteksi terdapat gaya belajar dominan kelas 4 sebanyak 50% Visual, kelas 5 sebanyak 60% Auditorial, dan kelas 6 sebanyak 67% Kinestetik. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk instrument deteksi gaya belajar peserta didik kelas tinggi di sekolah dasat layak untuk digunakan sesuai dengan validasi para ahli dan respon pendidik pada saat dilakukan uji coba. This research is motivated by the problem of educators who still do not know optimally about the learning style information of students in elementary schools. Generally, educators teach inappropriately because they do not pay attention to the learning styles of each learner in elementary school. Students' learning styles can affect the success and failure of students' learning achievements. So, an instrument that is accurate and easy to use by educators is needed to obtain information about learning styles appropriately. The research model used in this study is a mixed research approach (Mixed Method), with a development method with Educational Design Research (EDR) design. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of literature studies, observations, interviews, expert validation, and educator response questionnaires. This research produces two products, namely guidebooks and questionnaire sheets about VAK (Visual, Auditorial, and Kinesthetic) learning style tests. It was conducted at SDN Bantarujeg 2, especially in the high class. The first trial involved 1 educator and 10 grade 6 students, with the results of the detection of dominant learning styles as much as 40% Auditroial and 40% Kinesthetic. While the second trial involved 3 educators and 39 students in grades 4, 5, and 6, with the results of the detection of the dominant learning style of grade 4 as much as 50% Visual, grade 5 as much as 60% Auditorial, and grade 6 as much as 67% Kinesthetic. The results of the study indicate that the product of the learning style detection instrument for high school students is feasible to use according to the validation of experts and the response of educators during the trial.
