Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Pasundan 1 Cimahi. Penelitian mengkaji terkait rendahnya keterampilan mengetik siswa kelas X MPLB (Manajemen Perkantoran dan Layanan Bisnis). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memecahkan masalah rendahnya keterampilan mengetik siswa melalui penggunaan media typing master sebagai solusi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengetik siswa supaya lebih baik lagi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yaitu One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, metode dokumentasi dan metode observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji N-Gain. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa: (1) Hasil skor pre-test kecepatan dan ketepatan mengetik setelah diberi perlakuan tidak sama dengan skor post-test dan (2) Praktek menggunakan media aplikasi typing master terhadap keterampilan mengetik siswa efektif diterapkan. Adapun hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh bahwa praktek menggunakan media aplikasi typing master berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan mengetik pada siswa. The study examines the low typing skills of class X MPLB (Office Management and Business Services) students. The purpose of this study is to solve the problem of students' low typing skills through the use of typing master media as a solution in improving students' typing skills so that they are even better. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a research design, namely One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Data collection techniques used are tests, documentation methods and observation methods. The data analysis technique used is the N-Gain test. Hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon test. Based on the analysis of the results of the study, the results showed that: (1) The results of the pre-test score for typing speed and accuracy after being treated were not the same as the post-test scores and (2) The practice of using the typing master application media on students' typing skills was effectively applied. As for the results of the hypothesis test, it was found that the practice of using the typing master application media had an effect on improving students' typing skills.
