Abstract

Masyarakat Indonesia dikenal sebagai bangsa yang kental dengan pluralisme keberagaman agama, suku, budaya dan etnis. Berbagai macam permasalahan yang kerap terjadi terkait sikap toleransi yang masih minim membawa keprihatinan banyak pihak. Hal tersebut dianggap sebagai ancaman bagi kehidupan berbangsa khususnya pada dimensi berkebinekaan di Indonesia. Tak jarang konflik sosial terjadi dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya isu toleransi antar umat beragama di tengah kehidupan masyarakat. Selaras dengan dunia pendidikan saat ini, kurikulum merdeka pun telah hadir dan merancang profil pelajar pancasila dalam upaya meningkatkan karakter yang lebih kuat terhadap tantangan abad 21. Kebinekaan global menjadi salah satu dimensi untuk menghadirkan kehidupan berbangsa yang saling menghormati dan bertoleransi. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat pembahasan tentang peran mahasiswa dalam mengantisipasi permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan nilai toleransi. Maka dari itu, peneliti melakukan pengamatan dengan mengumpulkan beberapa data mengenai bagaimana internalisasi nilai toleransi diintegrasikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran melalui diskusi dilema moral dalam upaya penguatan karakter mahasiswa di Universitas Siliwangi Tasikmalaya. Metode internalisasi tersebut merupakan pendekatan kognitif berdasarkan teori Lawrance Kohlberg, yang dianggap mampu mewujudkan kematangan moral seseorang sehingga akan menjadi dasar dari keputusan moral yang baik. Penelitian ini melibatkan dosen mata kuliah wajib kurikulum (MKWK) mata kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif ini dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data melalui tahapan pengumpulan, reduksi, display, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh sebagai berikut: (1) Dosen telah menyusun RPS yang terintegrasi dengan nilai toleransi (2) Proses kegiatan pembelajaran yang terintegrasi dengan nilai toleransi dilakukan melalui alur diskusi kelas dengan berbasis masalah sehingga kegiatan tersebut berlandaskan pada strategi diskusi dilema moral (3) Dalam RPS, tidak ditemukan adanya format khusus untuk evaluasi. Penilaian dilakukan oleh dosen melalui pengamatan saat aktifitas diskusi berlangsung dan diberikan timbal balik selama kegiatan pembelajaran. INTERNALIZATION MODEL OF TOLERANCE VALUE THROUGH MORAL DILEMMA DISCUSSION TO STRENGTHEN STUDENT CHARACTER IN HIGHER EDUCATION (A Descriptive Study at Universitas Siliwangi, Tasikmalaya) Astri Komara Putri 2105126 ABSTRACT Indonesian society is known as a nation with pluralism of religious, ethnic, cultural, and ethnic diversity. Various kinds of problems that often occur related to the lack of tolerance are still a concern. This is considered a threat to the nation, especially in terms of diversity in Indonesia. so many social conflicts have occurred due to the issue of inter-faith tolerance in society. In line with education, the Indonesian current curriculum, named Kurikulum Merdeka, has also been present and designed the profile of Pancasila students in an effort to develop a stronger character against the challenges of the 21st century. Global diversity or Kebinekaan Global is one of the dimensions for presenting life in a nation that respects and tolerates each other. And in this research, there is a discussion about the role of higher education students in anticipating problems related to tolerance values. Therefore, the researcher made observations by collecting some data regarding how the internalization of tolerance values was integrated into learning activities through oral dilemma discussion to strengthen students’ character at Siliwangi University, Tasikmalaya. An internalization method is a cognitive approach based on Lawrance Kohlberg's theory, which is considered capable of realizing one's moral reasoning so that it will become the basis of good moral judgment. This research involved lecturers in the compulsory curriculum (MKWK) subject of Citizenship Education. This descriptive research method with a qualitative approach is carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis through the stages of collection, reduction, display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis of the data obtained are as follows: (1) The lecturer has prepared a lesson plan that is integrated with the value of tolerance (2) The process of learning activities that are integrated with the value of tolerance is carried out through problem-based class discussion flow so that the activity is based on a moral dilemma discussion strategy (3 ) In the RPS, there is no specific format for evaluation. Assessment is carried out by the lecturer through observation during discussion activities and is given feedback during learning activities.
