PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN E-MODUL VIRUS TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP SISWA SMA

    Abstract

    Keterampilan pemecahan masalah menjadi salah satu kompetensi yang penting dimiliki peserta didik untuk bersaing di abad ke-21. Melalui keterampilan dalam menyelesaikan masalah, siswa mencermati masalah yang harus dipecahkan dengan mengintegrasikan pengetahuan terkait konsep yang telah dimiliki dan pengalaman belajar selama proses menemukan solusi dari permasalahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh e-modul virus terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan penguasaan konsep siswa SMA. Dengan desain penelitian preeksperimental bertipe one-group pretest-posttest dan convenience sampling sebagai teknik pemilihan sampel, penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas X SMA IPA di salah satu sekolah di Kota Cimahi. Siswa mengisi instrumen tes untuk mengukur keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan penguasaan konsep serta angket respons sebagai instrumen nontes. Hasil analisis uji beda rata-rata pada penelitian ini yaitu 0,000 untuk tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan penguasaan konsep siswa yang mana berarti terdapat pengaruh dari penggunaan e-modul terhadap peningkatan nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest siswa. Hasil keduanya diperkuat dengan perolehan nilai N-Gain untuk keterampilan pemecahan masalah sebesar 0,58 dan 0,34 untuk penguasaan konsep yang masing-masing terkategori dalam peningkatan sedang. Siswa juga merespons secara positif penggunaan e-modul virus yang membekalkan pemecahan masalah ini sesuai dengan hasil angket respons yang berkategori sangat baik. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan untuk memperkenalkan konsep virus dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah lebih lanjut kepada siswa melalui penggunaan e-modul virus yang membekalkan pemecahan masalah.

    Problem-solving skills are one of the important competencies for students to compete in the 21st century. Through problem-solving skills, students look at the problems to be solved by integrating knowledge related to the concepts they already have and learning experiences during the process of finding solutions to problems. This study aims to identify the effect of virus e-module on problem solving skills and concept mastery of high school students. With a one-group pretest-posttest type preexperiment research design and convenience sampling as a sample selection technique, the research was conducted on 10th grade science high school students in one of the schools in Cimahi City. Students filled out test instruments to measure problem solving skills and concept mastery and response questionnaires as non-test instrument. The results of the mean difference test analysis in this study are 0.000 for the problem solving skills test and student concept mastery, which means that there is an effect of using e-module on increasing the average scores of students' pretests and posttests. Both results are reinforced by the acquisition of N-Gain values for problem solving skills of 0.58 and 0.34 for concept mastery, each of which is respectively categorized in moderate improvement. Students also responded positively to the use of virus e-module that supplies problem solving according to the results of the response questionnaires which were categorized as very well. This research can be considered to introduce further virus concepts and problem-solving skills to students through the use of virus e-module that supplies problem solving.
