Abstract

Berdasarkan survei nilai rata-rata IQ World Population Review 2022 dan PISA tahun 2018, tingkat kecerdasan penduduk Indonesia tergolong rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah berdampak pada tiga komponen yaitu hasil belajar, kesiapan kerja, dan tingkat kecerdasan. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah penting dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada multimedia pembelajaran pemrograman berorientasi objek (PBO) berbasis QR Code untuk meningkatkan kemampuan computational thinking (CT) siswa sebagai salah satu teknik pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian adalah R&D dengan model pengembangan multimedia ADDIE dan desain penelitian One Group Pretest Posttest. Temuan penelitian yaitu adanya peningkatan kemampuan CT peserta didik dengan menerapkan model PBL pada multimedia pembelajaran PBO berbasis QR Code. Peningkatan kemampuan CT menunjukkan peningkatan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Hal ini dikarenakan CT merupakan salah satu teknik pemecahan masalah, sehingga dengan peningkatan kemampuan CT terjadi peningkatan kemampuan peserta didik dalam mencari solusi dari suatu permasalahan. Selain itu, peningkatan kemampuan masalah dapat dilihat dari rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik yang mengalami peningkatan yaitu 45,71 (pretest) dan 89,50 (posttest). Hasil uji t menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik terjadi secara signifikan. Hasil pretest dan posttest CT menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari 65,43 (pretest) menjadi 85,29 (posttest). Adapun urutan peningkatan komponen CT berdasarkan nilai n-gain yaitu abstraksi (0,66), pengenalan pola (0,63), dekomposisi (0,48), dan desain algoritma (0,39). Nilai rata-rata hasil tanggapan peserta didik terhadap multimedia adalah 84,95% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Based on the survey of the 2022 World Population Review regarding average IQ scores and the 2018 PISA, the intelligence level of the Indonesian population is classified as low. This is caused by the low ability of problem-solving. Problem-solving ability has an impact on three components, namely learning outcomes, work readiness, and level of intelligence. Therefore, improving problem-solving skills is important. The purpose of this study is to apply the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to object-oriented programming (PBO) multimedia learning based on QR Code to improve students' computational thinking (CT) abilities as a problem solving technique. The research method is R&D with the ADDIE multimedia development model and the One Group Pretest Posttest research design. The research finding is that there is an increase in students' CT skills by applying the PBL model to QR Code-based PBO learning multimedia. Increasing the ability of CT shows an increase in students' problem solving abilities. This is because CT is one of the problem-solving techniques, so that by increasing the ability of CT there is an increase in the ability of students to find solutions to a problem. In addition, the increase in problem ability can be seen from the average learning outcomes of students who have increased, namely 45.71 (pretest) and 89.50 (posttest). The results of the t test showed a significant increase in the average student learning outcomes. The CT pretest and posttest results showed an increase in the average score from 65.43 (pretest) to 85.29 (posttest). The order of increasing the CT components based on the n-gain value is abstraction (0.66), pattern recognition (0.63), decomposition (0.48), and algorithm design (0.39). The average value of student responses to multimedia is 84.95% in the "Very Good" category.
