Abstract

Pendidikan sebagai sektor krusial dalam pembangunan negara semakin terdorong oleh teknologi informasi. Salah satunya adalah Sistem Manajemen Pembelajaran (LMS) seperti Moodle yang digunakan di SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya. Namun, implementasi Moodle sering dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan, termasuk resistensi dari guru dan staf administrasi serta keterbatasan dana dan infrastruktur teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Moodle di SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya. Dengan pemahaman mendalam atas permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini menyusun rekomendasi untuk mengatasi tantangan dan memaksimalkan manfaat dari Moodle sebagai LMS. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik beserta para guru memberikan respon yang sangat positif terhadap penggunaan Moodle sebagai metode pembelajaran. Namun, penelitian juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi, kurangnya partisipasi siswa dalam forum diskusi, dan kendala dalam kelas virtual. Dalam mengatasi tantangan tersebut, rekomendasi yang diajukan adalah meningkatkan infrastruktur teknologi dan kualitas akses internet di sekolah, memberikan pelatihan lanjutan kepada guru untuk menguasai Moodle, dan memperbarui LMS Moodle secara rutin. Secara keseluruhan, implementasi LMS Moodle di SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya memberikan manfaat dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran online, tetapi masih perlu ditingkatkan. Dengan langkah-langkah perbaikan dan peningkatan yang tepat, diharapkan pengalaman belajar siswa dan kinerja guru dapat lebih baik, sehingga pembelajaran online dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan efisien di SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya. ----- Education, as a crucial sector in national development, is increasingly driven by information technology. One of the key technologies utilized is the Learning Management System (LMS) such as Moodle, which is employed at SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya. However, the implementation of Moodle often encounters various challenges, including resistance from teachers and administrative staff, as well as budget constraints and technological infrastructure limitations. This research aims to analyze the implementation of Moodle at SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya. With a profound understanding of these issues, the study formulates recommendations to address the challenges and maximize the benefits of Moodle as an LMS. The research method employed in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The results indicate that both students and teachers respond very positively to the use of Moodle as a learning method. However, the research also identifies several challenges, such as technological infrastructure limitations, insufficient student participation in discussion forums, and obstacles in virtual classrooms. To address these challenges, the proposed recommendations include enhancing technological infrastructure and internet access quality at the school, providing further training for teachers to master Moodle, and regularly updating the Moodle LMS. Overall, the implementation of Moodle-based LMS at SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya provides benefits in facilitating online learning, but there is room for improvement. With appropriate improvement measures and enhancements, it is expected that students' learning experiences and teacher performance will be enhanced, enabling smooth and efficient online learning at SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya.
