Abstract
Bahasa Jepang memiliki banyak sekali kata kerja, termasuk di dalamnya kata kerja yang memiliki makna lebih dari satu (polisemi). Salah satu kata kerja yang berpolisemi adalah kata kerja harau. Tidak jarang pembelajar bahasa Jepang kesulitan dalam memahami kata kerja yang memiliki makna lebih dari satu. Oleh karena itu, penulis melakukan penelitian mengenai makna kata kerja harau sebagai polisemi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui makna dasar, makna perluasan apa saja yang terkandung dalam kata kerja harau, serta untuk mengetahui hubungan antarmakna pada kata kerja harau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode deskriptif. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber disusun, kemudian diklasifikasikan, dianalisis dan diinterpretasikan. Dari hasil analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa makna dasar kata kerja harau adalah membersihkan. Sedangkan makna perluasan yang terkandung pada kata kerja harau antara lain: (1) Menghapus, (2) Mengusir, (3) Menghancurkan, (4) Merobohkan, (5) Membayar, (6) Menjual, (7) Membakar, (8) Melepaskan, (9) Membuka, (10) Menembak, (11) Lenyap, (12) Meniup, (13) Keluar, (14) Menghormati, (15) Mengorbankan, (16) Tenang, (17) Memotong, (18) Memperhatikan, (19) Menunjukkan rasa ketertarikan, (20) Menarik. Setelah dilakukan analisis, hubungan antarmakna yang terjadi, yaitu: (1), (2), (3), (7), (8), (11), (12), dan (17) secara metafora. (4), (5), (6), (9), (10), (13), (16), (19), dan (20) secara metonimi. Dan (14), (15), dan (18) secara sinekdoke. Japanese have a lot of verbs and words, including verbs that have more than one meaning (polysemy). One of the verbs that polysemic is harau. It is not uncommon for Japanese learners to have difficulties in understanding verbs that have more than one meaning. Therefore, the authors conducted a study of the meaning of harau verb as a polysemy. The purpose of this study is to find out the basic meaning, expansion meanings of the harau verb, and to find out the meaningful relationship between harau verb. The method used in the research is descriptive method. Data that has been collected from various sources is compiled, then classified, analyzed and interpreted. From the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the basic meaning of harau is verb is to sweep. Whereas the expansion meanings contained in harau verb include: (1) to remove, (2) to repel, (3) to demolish, (4) to mow down, (5) to pay, (6) to sell off, (7) to burn off, (8) to shake off, (9) to open, (10) to drive someone off with gunfire, (11) to obliterate, (12) to blow off, (13) to be all out, (14) to pay respect to, (15) to make sacrifices for, (16) to stay calm, (17) to lop off, (18) to pay attention to, (19) to show interest in, (2) to pull. After analysis, the relationship between meanings that occur: (1), (2), (3), (7), (8), (11), (12), and (17) are metaphorically. (4), (5), (6), (9), (10), (13), (16), (19), and (20) are metonymically. And (14), (15), and (18) are synechdically.
