Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari hasil observasi awal yang penulis lakukan pada siswa SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung, penulis menemukan berbagai macam karakter atau perilaku yang berbeda dari setiap siswa di sekolah. Ada beberapa orang siswa ketika mengikuti kegiatan belajar mengajar acuh tak acuh terhadap materi yang disampaikan, dan ada pula siswa yang lambat dalam proses pembelajarannya. Demikian pula terdapat siswa yang tidak bersikap demokratis pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung seperti tidak pernah menghargai pendapat orang lain pada saat diskusi, tidak mendengarkan orang lain yang sedang berbicara, tidak mengerjakan tugas kelompok dan menggangu orang lain, serta kesadaran dalam mengumpulkan tugas masih rendah karena masih perlu diingatkan oleh guru. Dilihat dari hal tersebut dapat kita lihat bahwa keluarga sangat mendominasi dalam proses penentuan sikap atau perilaku siswa yang bisa penulis kategorikan sebagai remaja ini di dalam bertindak baik itu di lingkungan keluarga, sekolah maupun masyarakat dimana ia berada. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analitis, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lima cara yaitu observasi, angket, wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung yang berjumlah 55 orang dan guru mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung telah ditemukan yaitu 1) Gambaran pola asuh yang dikembangkan orang tua siswa kelas VIII di SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung terhadap anaknya dapat dikategorikan sudah cukup baik dengan menerapkan sikap demokratis di lingkungan keluarga dan orang tua mereka juga menerapkan sikap yang baik pada anaknya. 2) Pengembangan sikap demokratis pada siswa di sekolah melalui pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh yang dikembangkan oleh orang tua. Guru memiliki peran yang besar dalam membentuk sikap demokratis pada siswa, maka guru dalam proses pembelajaran harus menciptakan suasana yang demokratis dan menyenangkan, sehingga dapat mendukung dan menumbuhkan sikap demokratis siswa. 3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan (25,04 > 0,279) antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap pengembangan sikap demokratis siswa melalui pembelajaran PKn. 4) Pola asuh orang tua memberikan kontribusi sebesar 38,55% terhadap pengembangan sikap demokratis siswa melalui pembelajaran PKn. Artinya, terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi terhadap pengembangan sikap demokratis siswa sebesar (61,45%). This research is based from the results of preliminary observations by the author on student in the Class VIII Junior High School of Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung), authors found a various of character or behavior is different from every student in school. There are some students when the following learning activity is indifferent to the material presented, and some students are slow in the learning process. Similarly, there are students who are not being democratic at the time of the learning process takes place as never appreciate other people's opinions during the discussion, do not listen to anyone else who is talking, do not interfere with the task group and others, and awareness is still low in gathering task because it is still need to be reminded by the teacher. Viewed from this, we can see that the family was dominant in the process of determining students' attitudes or behavior which could be categorized as the author of this teen in the act either in the family, school and the community where it resides. The method used in this research is analytical descriptive method with quantitative approach. While the techniques of data collection is done through five methods, namely observation, questionnaires, interviews, documentation and literature study. the population in this study were all Students in the Class VIII Junior High School of Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung, which amounts to 55 people and a teachers of Citizenship Education. Based on the results of research conducted in the Class VIII Junior High School of Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung has been found that 1) Description of developed parenting parents of Students in the Class VIII Junior High School of Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung is can be considered good enough to apply the democratic attitude in the family and their parents also apply a good attitude to her son. 2) Development of democratic attitudes in students at the school through Citizenship Education learning is influenced by the pattern of care developed by the parents. Teachers have a major role in shaping democratic attitudes in students, the teachers in the learning process should create a democratic atmosphere and fun, so it can support and foster democratic attitudes of students. 3) There is a significant relationship (25.04> 0.279) between the pattern of parenting to the development of democratic attitudes of students through the study of Civics. 4) Parenting patterns contributed 38.55% towards the development of democratic attitudes of students through the study of Civics. That is, there are other factors that influence the development of democratic attitudes of the students (61.45%).
