Abstract

Temper tantrum yaitu suatu ledakan emosi atau ketidakmampuan anak dalam mengontrol emosi biasanya sering terjadi pada anak yang berusia 0-6 tahun dengan cara menangis, menjerit, memukul, melempar benda disekitar dan berguling-guling. Kebanyakan orang tua merespon tantrum tersebut dengan memarahi dan mengabaikan anaknya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran sikap ibu tentang penanganan temper tantrum pada anak usia prasekolah di RW 05 Desa Legok Kaler Kec. Paseh Kab. Sumedang. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu total sampling, dengan sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 54 anak usia prasekolah yang pernah atau suka mengalami temper tantrum sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Analisa yang digunakan yaitu univariat. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menyebarkan kuesioner tertutup kepada responden berupa angket yang disebarkan secara langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap ibu tentang penanganan temper tantrum pada anak usia prasekolah memiliki sikap yang positif sebanyak 63,0% (34 orang) dan sikap negatif sebanyak 37,0% (20 orang). Gambaran sikap responden dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata ibu memiliki sikap positif atau baik dalam penanganan temper tantrum pada anaknya, meskipun sebagian lainnya masih ada yang memiliki sikap negatif atau tidak baik dalam penanganan temper tantrum pada anaknya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa 63,0% (34 orang) memiliki sikap positif dalam penanganan temper tantrum pada anak usia prasekolah. Diharapkan bagi pelayanan kesehatan setempat untuk memberikan informasi secara luas dengan cara penyuluhan terkait sikap ibu tentang penanganan temper tantrum pada anak usia prasekolah. This study aims to describe the attitude of mothers about handling temper tantrums in preschool children in RW 05 Legok Kaler Village Paseh District Sumedang District. This study uses a quantitative research design with descriptive methods. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling, with a sample of 54 preschool-aged children who had or experienced temper tantrums according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis used is univariate. The data collection method used in this study was distributing closed questionnaires to respondents in the form of questionnaires which were distributed directly. The results showed that the mother's attitude about handling temper tantrums in preschool children had a positive attitude of 63.0% (34 people) and a negative attitude of 37.0% (20 people). The description of the attitude of the respondents in this study shows that on average mothers have a positive or good attitude in handling temper tantrums in their children, although some others still have negative or unfavorable attitudes in handling temper tantrums in their children. It can be concluded that 63.0% (34 people) have a positive attitude in handling temper tantrums in preschool-aged children. It is hoped that the local health service will provide extensive information by means of counseling related to mothers' attitudes about handling temper tantrums in preschool-aged children.
