Abstract

ABSTRAK Karakter kinerja merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam perkembangan peserta didik, sebagaimana kita ketahui bahwa karakter kinerja siswa di Indonesia masih sangat rendah. Rendahnya karakter kinerja tersebut akan berdampak pada rendahnya sumber daya manusia Indonesia di masa yang akan datang. Segala upaya telah dilakukan oleh sekolah untuk penguatan karakter kinerja siswa, namun belum memberikan efek yang signifikan dalam perubahan karakter kinerja siswa di sekolah. Maka dari itu perlunya terobosan baru, yang dilakukan oleh sekolah untuk meningkatkan karakter kinerja siswa. Model pendidikan karakter kerja yang dikembangkan sesuai kebutuhan siswa disinyalir dapat membantu meningkatkan karakter kinerja siswa di sekolah. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini secara umum adalah ingin mengembangkan model pendidikan karakter kinerja siswa yang efektif untuk mengutakan karakter siswa di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan R & D (Research dan Development). Belum ada model khusus pendidikan karakter kinerja siswa di sekolah, kemudian ada beberap faktor penghambat penguatan karakter kinerja siswa di sekolah. Maka pengembangan sebuah model pendidikan karakter kinerja siswa sangat penting. Pengembangan model pendidikan karakter kinerja siswa setelah divalidasi dan diujicobakan, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa model pendidikan karakter kinerja siswa efektif dalam membantu meningkatkan karakter kinerja siswa di sekolah. Hasil uji coba operasional terhadap model menunjukkan bahwa model pendidikan karakter kinerja siswa sudah memenuhi kriteria sangat baik dengan besaran persentase lebih dari 90%, selanjutnya berdasarkan uji paired sampel test menunjukan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 < 0,005, maka terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil pretest dan posttest yang artinya ada pengaruh pengembangan model pendidikan karakter kinerja terhadap peningkatan karakter kinerja siswa di sekolah. Dengan adanya model pendidikan karakter kinerja siswa yang telah dikembangkan ini diharapkan dapat membantu sekolah dalam upaya meningkatkan karakter kinerja siswa. Every effort has been made by the school to strengthen the character of student particularly towards performance character, but so far it has not had a significant effect. Therefore, the need for new breakthroughs, which are carried out by schools to improve the character of student performance. The work education model that is developed according to the needs of students can allegedly help improve the character of student performance at school. The purpose of this study in general is to find out what kind of performance character education model is effective for strengthening the character of students at school. The method used is a mixed method, namely research and development (Research and Development), which is a research method that combines two quantitative and qualitative methods using steps that have been developed by Borg and Gall. The development of a performance character education model after being validated and tested, it can be concluded that the performance character education model is effective in helping to improve student performance character in schools. The results of operational trials on the model show that the character education model meets very good criteria with a percentage of more than 90%, then based on the paired sample test it shows a significance value of 0.00 <0.005, so there is a difference in the average pretest and posttest results which means that there is an effect of developing a performance character education model on improving student performance character. With the existence of a performance character education model that has been developed it is hoped that it can assist schools in efforts to improve student performance character.
