Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini memiliki fokus pada tiga aspek sikap kepribadian sosial, yaitu kepemimpinan, toleransi, dan empati berdasarkan teori Carl Rogers. Ketiganya berkaitan dengan kompetensi sosial guru IPS yang melatih mahasiswa agar mampu berkomunikasi dan bersosialiasi dengan masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena masih berjalannya Program Kampus Merdeka khususnya Kampus Mengajar secara berkelanjutan sehingga penelitian ini dijadikan sebagai bahan dalam bidang pendidikan untuk terus memberikan inovasi pada keberlanjutan program Kampus Merdeka Kampus Mengajar supaya mahasiswa yang lahir dari program tersebut mampu menebar kebermanfaatan secara lebih luas dengan kualitas sikap kepribadian sosial yang lebih tinggi. Guna mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, maka data yang dikumpulkan berasal dari hasil penelitian dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian sosial beserta kompetensi sosial guru IPS bagi mahasiswa sudah terlihat pada tiga aspek sikap yaitu kepemimpinan, toleransi, dan empati sehingga mahasiswa mampu beradaptasi. Selain itu, adanya keterkaitan kepribadian sosial dengan kompetensi sosial guru IPS membuat mahasiswa telah memiliki bekal untuk menjadi calon guru IPS profesional. In order to achieve this goal, this research was conducted using a qualitative approach and case study method, so the data collected came from research results by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the social personality and social competence of social studies teachers for students can be seen in three aspects of attitude, namely leadership, tolerance, and empathy so that students are able to adapt. In addition, there is a link between social personality and the social competence of social studies teachers so that students have the provisions to become prospective professional social studies teachers.
