Abstract
This study discusses Adversity Quotient (AQ) for Taekwondo Athletes in Lebak Regency based on Gender. This study aims to determine the Adversity Quotient category of Taekwondo Athletes in Lebak Regency based on gender, as a whole and to find out the comparison of achievements based on their AQ. This study uses a comparative causal research design. In this study, 40 samples of Taekwondo athletes from Lebak Regency were used from various clubs and schools in Lebak Regency. AQ here is measured using the Adversity Response Profile (ARP) questionnaire created by Paul G. Stoltz. The results of data analysis between boys and girls show an average value of 131.6 and 124.5 including Moderate AQ. Then, overall the athletes show an average value of 128.05 Moderate AQ or are included in the Campers category. From the results of the data analysis it can be concluded that the average AQ score between sons and daughters indicates that sons have higher AQ scores than daughters even though they are included in the same category but there are significant differences in the average value. And from the results of interviews between researchers and coaches of each athlete's club it also shows that male athletes have more achievements than female athletes. Recommendations for further research are advised to increase the number of samples, using more varied references so that the results are more diverse and wider.
