Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan salah satu kompetensi abad 21 yang perlu dimiliki siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Namun, terdapat berbagai aspek yang diduga mempengaruhi kemampuan komunikasi matematis, dua diantaranya adalah adversity quotient dan resiliensi matematis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas XI ditinjau dari adversity quotient dan resiliensi matematis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode ex-post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA di SMA Negeri se-Kecamatan Slawi dengan sampelnya sebanyak 140 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu instrumen tes berupa soal essai untuk menguji kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan instrumen non-tes berupa angket adversity quotient dan resiliensi matematis untuk mengukur adversity quotient dan resiliensi matematis siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji Kruskal-Wallis dan uji lanjutan Bonferroni-Dunn. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang signifikan antara siswa SMA yang memiliki tingkatan adversity quotient (climber, camper, quitter); (2) ada perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang signifikan antara siswa SMA yang memiliki tingkatan resiliensi matematis (tinggi, sedang, rendah) serta ada perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa SMA yang memiliki resiliensi matematis tinggi-rendah dan tinggi-sedang. Mathematical communication ability is one of the 21st-century competencies that students need to have in learning mathematics. However, there are various aspects that are thought to affect mathematical communication ability, two of which are adversity quotient and mathematical resilience. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the mathematical communication ability of class 11th students in terms of adversity quotient and mathematical resilience. The method used in this study is the ex-post facto method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of science class 11th at public senior high schools in Slawi District with a sample of 140 students. The instruments used were test instruments in the form of essay questions to test students' mathematical communication abilities and non-test instruments in the form of adversity quotient and mathematical resilience questionnaires to measure adversity quotient and students' mathematical resilience. The data analysis technique used are the Kruskal-Wallis test and the Dunn-Bonferroni post hoc test. The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is no significant difference in mathematical communication ability between senior high school students who have the adversity quotient level (climber, camper, quitter); (2) there is a significant difference in mathematical communication ability between senior high school students who have levels of mathematical resilience (high, medium, low) and there is a significant difference in mathematical communication ability between groups of senior high school students who have high-low and high-medium mathematical resilience.
