Abstract

Qaysa Najjini Insi Takiya. (1806948). Analisis Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa SMP Berdasarkan Self Confidence pada Materi Bentuk Aljabar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran hasil analisis kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa secara tertulis berdasarkan self confidence pada materi bentuk aljabar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek 32 siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket self confidence, tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, dan wawancara. Teknis analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan self confidence tinggi memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis paling tinggi di setiap indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis secara tertulis. Subjek dengan self confidence sedang memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis sedang pada tiap indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Sedangkan siswa dengan self confidence rendah memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis sedang pada indikator mempresentasikan benda nyata atau gambar ke dalam model matematika dan menyelesaikannya dan menyatakan situasi matematik atau peristiwa sehari-hari ke dalam model matematika dan memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis rendah pada indikator menjelaskan ide, situasi dan relasi matematika, secara tulisan, dengan gambar dan ekspresi aljabar. Analysis of Mathematical Communication Ability of Middle School Students Based on Self Confidence in Algebraic Expressions Material. This study aims to obtain an overview of the results of the analysis of students' mathematical communication skills in writing based on self-confidence in algebraic expression material. This research is a case study qualitative research using a qualitative descriptive approach with the subject of grade 32 VII students in one of junior high schools in the City of Bandung for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. Data collection was carried out through self-confidence questionnaires, tests of mathematical communication skills, and interviews. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that subjects with high self-confidence had the highest mathematical communication ability in each indicator of written mathematical communication ability. Subjects with moderate self-confidence have moderate mathematical communication skills on each indicator of mathematical communication ability. Whereas students with low self-confidence have moderate mathematical communication skills on indicators of presenting real objects or images into mathematical models and solving them and expressing mathematical situations or everyday events into mathematical models and have low mathematical communication skills on indicators of explaining ideas, situations and mathematical relations, in writing, with pictures and algebraic expressions.
