Abstract

ABSTRAK Putry Meilia Sanny (1601440). Peningkatan Kemampuan Literasi Matematis dan Kemandirian Belajar Siswa SMP Menggunakan Model Project Based-Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis dan kemandirian belajar antara siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dengan siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran konvensional. Selain itu, dikaji pula pengkategorian siswa menurut tingkatan rendah, sedang, dan tinggi pada kemampuan literasi matematis dan kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Control Group Pre-test Post-test Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP/MTs Kabupaten Ciamis tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Sampel yang digunakan ada sebanyak dua kelas, dengan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing-masing sebanyak 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes dan non-tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan: 1.) Kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning tergolong sedang dan kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning pada lima indikator yang digunakan tergolong sedang. 2.) Penggunaan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning tidak efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. 3.) Terdapat faktor penghambat model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning, yaitu: waktu yang tidak memadai, materi prasyarat yang tidak terkuasai, serta ketidakaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran. 4.) Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemandirian belajar siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning dan model konvensional pada seluruh indikator. Improving the Mathematical Literacy and Self-Regulated Learning of Junior High School Students with Project Based-Learning Model. This study aims to determine the increase in mathematical literacy skills and self-regulated learning between students who get the Project-Based Learning learning model and students who get conventional learning models. In addition, it also examines the categorization of students according to low, medium, and high levels in the ability of mathematical literacy and independent learning of students who receive the Project-Based Learning learning model. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method with a Control Group Pre-test Post-test Design. The population in this study were all grade VIII students of SMP/MTs in Ciamis Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year. The samples used were two classes, with an experimental class and a control class each of 30 students. The research instruments used were test and non-test instruments. Based on the research results, it can be concluded: 1.) The mathematical literacy ability of students who received the Project-Based Learning learning model was relatively moderate and the self-regulated learning of students who obtained the Project-Based Learning learning model on the five indicators used was classified as moderate. 2.) The use of the Project-Based Learning learning model is not effective for increasing students' mathematical literacy skills. 3.) There are inhibiting factors for the Project-Based Learning learning model, namely: inadequate time, prerequisite material that is not mastered, and student inactivity in learning. 4.) There is no significant difference between the self-regulated learning of students who receive the Project-Based Learning learning model and the conventional model in all indicators.
