Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Coopertaive Learning tipe Snowball Throwing berbantuan media Roda Jelajah terhadap Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPS Kelas IV SDN Serang 7. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control grup design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas IV A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas IV B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan soal tes pilihan ganda dengan jumlah 25 soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian diperoleh skor rata-rata pretest kelas kontrol 70, 51 dan posttest 78,81. Sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh skor rata-rata pretest 68,29 dan posttest 87,56. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t memperoleh skor sebesar 0,527>0,05 pada skor pretest sehingga Ho diterima yang artinya memiliki kesamaan pada keterampilan berpikir kritis. Sedang hasil uji-t setelah diberikan treatment dengan model Cooperative Learning tipe Snowball Throwing berbantuan media roda jelajah memperoleh skor 0,001<0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima yang artinya terdapat perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Selain itu, berdasarkan uji N-Gain kelas kontrol memperoleh skor sebesar 29% dalam kategori gain score rendah dan kelas eksperimen memperoleh skor 67% dalam kategori gain score sedang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Cooperative Learning tipe Snowball Throwing berbantuan media roda jelajah terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPS kelas IV SDN Serang 7. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Snowball Throwing type Coopertaive Learning model assisted by Roaming Wheel media on students' critical thinking skills in Social Studies Class IV at SDN Serang 7. This study used a quantitative approach. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The samples in this study were class IV A as the control class and class IV B as the experimental class. The research instruments used in this study were observation sheets of student activity and multiple choice test questions with a total of 25 questions. Data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive test, normality test, homogeneity test, t-test and N-Gain. The results of the study obtained an average score of the control class pretest 70, 51 and posttest 78.81. While the experimental class obtained an average score of 68.29 pretest and 87.56 posttest. Based on the results of the t-test, a score of 0.527> 0.05 was obtained on the pretest score so that Ho was accepted, which means that they have similarities in critical thinking skills. While the results of the t-test after being given treatment with the Snowball Throwing type Cooperative Learning model assisted by cruising wheel media obtained a score of 0.001 <0.05, then Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted, which means that there is an average difference significant average in the control class and experimental class. In addition, based on the N-Gain test, the control class obtained a score of 29% in the low gain score category and the experimental class obtained a score of 67% in the moderate gain score category. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Snowball Throwing type Cooperative Learning model assisted by cruising wheels on students' critical thinking skills in social studies class IV SDN Serang 7.
