Abstract

Seorang guru harus mempunyai kemampuan dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) di sekolah dasar. Deskriptif kualitatif diimplementasikan sebagai metode dalam penelitian ini. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 6 guru kelas V sekolah dasar kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data penelitian dianalisis melalui metode Miles and Huberman (Data Reduction, Data Display, and Conclusion Drawing/Verification). Adapun hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) secara keseluruhan pemahaman guru pada 6 sekolah yang dijadikan subjek dalam penelitian ini, memiliki pemahaman yang berbeda terkait konsep Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Beberapa guru yang memahami Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) sebagai sebuah aplikasi, model pembelajaran, konsep pembelajaran, evaluasi dan pemecahan masalah; 2) secara keseluruhan guru telah mampu merancang Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dengan berorientasi pada HOTS, dibuktikan dengan temuan Kata Kerja Operasional (KKO) dan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan konsep Higher Order Thinking Skills HOTS; 3) adapun kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran IPS berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), sudah sesuai dengan langkah-langkah pada Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) itu sendiri; 4) proses evaluasi pembelajaran IPS berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) yang dilakukan oleh guru telah sesuai dengan Kata Kerja Operasional (KKO) dalam Taksonomi Bloom yang sudah direvisi. A teacher must have the ability to develop high-level thinking skills of elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the ability of teachers to implement Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in elementary school. Qualitative descriptive was implemented as a research method in this study. The subjects in this study consisted of 6 grade V elementary school teachers in Bandung. The instruments used in this study were interviews, observations, and documentation. The research data was processed using the Miles and Huberman method (DataReduction, Data Display, and Conclusion Drawing/Verification). The findings in this study are as follows: 1) overall understanding of teachers in the 6 schools that were used as subjects in this study, had a different understanding regarding the conceptHigher Order Thinking Skills (HOT). Some teachers who understandHigher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) as an application, learning model, learning concept, evaluation and problem solving; 2) as a whole the teacher has been able to design a HOTS-oriented Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), as evidenced by the findings of Operational Verbs (KKO) and learning models that are in accordance with the concept Higher Order Thinking Skills HOTS; 3) as for the teacher's ability to apply IPS-based learning Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), already in accordance with the steps onHigher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) itself; 4) IPS-based learning evaluation processHigher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) carried out by the teacher is in accordance with the Operational Verbs (KKO) in the revised Bloom's Taxonomy.
