Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendah keterampilan proses sains siswa di jenjang SMA akibat pandemi COVID-19. Hal ini disebabkan karena selama proses pembelajaran daring guru lebih sering melaksanakan pembelajaran metode ceramah dan tidak dapat melaksanakan percobaan di laboratorium. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh gambaran peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing didukung simulasi PhET. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pre-experimental design dengan bentuk one group pretest-posttest. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 34 orang siswa kelas XI pada salah satu SMA Negeri Kota Cimahi. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu soal tes keterampilan proses sains dalam bentuk pilihan ganda, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran, dan angket tanggapan siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan N-gain dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing didukung simulasi PhET dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dengan skor N-gain 0,64 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, serta mendapatkan tanggapan positif dari siswa. This research is motivated by the low science process skills of high school students due to the pandemic COVID-19. This is because during the online learning process teacher more often carry out lecture model learning and cannot carry out experiments in the laboratory. The purpose of the study was to obtain an overview of improving students' science process skills by applying the guided inquiry model supported PhET simulation. The method used is a pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest-posttest. The sample in this study amounted to 34 students of class XI at one of the SMA Negeri Cimahi. The instruments used were science process skills test questions in the form of multiple choice, observation sheets on the implementation of the learning model, and student responses questionnaires to the application of the learning model. The data analysis technique used was N-Gain and percentage. The result of study show that the application of guided inquiry model supported PhET simulation can increase in students’ science process skills with a N-gain score of 0,64, which means that the increase in science process skills is included in the category medium. The implementation of the learning model carried out by the teacher is included in the very good category and gets positive responses from students.
