Abstract
Saat ini organisasi ekstrakurikuler keagamaan di sekolah dan pendidikan
formal disinyalir menjadi pintu masuk paham radikal. Hal ini sesuai dengan hasil
temuan Lembaga Kajian Islam dan Perdamaian yang mana siswa SMP dan SMA di
Kawasan Jabodetabek sebanyak 48,9% menyetujui adanya aksi kekerasan. Oleh
karena itu, peran Pendidikan Agama Islam di pertanyakan apakah sudah optimal
atau belum dalam menangkal pemahaman radikal. Sehingga penelitian ini perlu
dilakukan agar urgensi PAI dapat teraktualisasikan manakala guru PAI sebagai
ujung tombak memiliki pemikiran moderat. Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi guru PAI terhadap radikalisme beragama di
sekolah. Adapun secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan
pandangan guru PAI tentang radikalisme beragama; 2) mendeskripsikan moderasi
beragama guru PAI, dan; 3) mendeskripsikan program pembelajaran PAI dalam
menangkal pemahaman radikalisme agama. Penelitian ini menggunakan
pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif desain field research. Adapun
teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi dan
dokumentasi. Teknik anallisis daa penelitian ini meliputi reduksi data, display data
dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh dengan adanya pandangan guru PAI
yang anti radikalisme dan moderat serta upaya yang dilakukan guru PAI melalui
pemaparan materi yang luas dalam pembelajaran, pembiasaan keagamaan, serta
pembinaan-pembinaan keagamaan. Pada penelitian ini berimplikasi terhadap
pentingnya guru PAI dan sekolah untuk berkontribusi dalam menangkal
pemahaman radikalisme beragama melalui berbagai program.
Currently, religious extracurricular organizations in schools and formal
education are suspected to be a gateway for radical ideology. This is in
accordance with the findings of the Institute of Islamic and Peace Studies, which
shows that 48.9% of junior and senior high school students in the Jabodetabek
region agree with violent actions. Therefore, the role of Islamic Religious
Education (PAI) is questioned whether it is optimal or not in countering radical
understanding. This research is necessary so that the urgency of PAI can be
actualized when PAI teachers as the front line have moderate thinking. In general,
this research aims to describe the perception of PAI teachers towards religious
radicalism in schools. Specifically, this research aims to: 1) describe the views of
PAI teachers on religious radicalism; 2) describe the religious moderation of PAI
teachers, and; 3) describe the PAI learning program in countering religious
radicalism understanding. This research uses a qualitative approach with a
descriptive design of field research. The data collection techniques were obtained
through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis
techniques of this research include data reduction, data display, and verification.
The results of this research indicate that PAI teachers have anti-radicalism and
moderate views, and the efforts made by PAI teachers through the extensive
material presentation in learning, religious habits, and religious guidance. This
research implies the importance of PAI teachers and schools to contribute to
countering religious radicalism understanding through various programs.
