Abstract
Secara global motivasi belajar siswa yang tinggi merupakan salah satu tonggak penting dalam tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang optimal. Mirisnya fakta di lapangan menyatakan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa Indonesia pasca pandemi ini berkurang hingga 70% yang disebabkan oleh metode belajar yang tidak menyenangkan, kurang interaktifnya pembelajaran, dan kurangnya fasilitas yang memadai. Dengan tingginya persentase tersebut perlu adanya inovasi guna meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode dan media pembelajaran memiliki posisi penting dalam mencapai pembelajaran yang efektif. Kolaborasi metode dan media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa adalah Metode Storytelling Berbasis Boneka Tangan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan Metode Storytelling Berbasis Boneka Tangan dalam Pembelajaran PAI untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa khususnya pada pembelajaran PAI SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre eksperimental one group design pretest-postest. Berdasarkan hasil dari temuan peneliti sebelum dilakukannya treatment terdapat hampir menyeluruh motivasi belajar siswa yang tergolong “Rendah dan Sedang”. Setelah dilakukan pemberian treatment peneliti menemukan motivasi belajar siswa tergolong “Tinggi dan Sangat Tinggi”. Hal ini terlihat pula pada temuan rata-rata siswa 27% pada saat pretest dan 79% pada saat postest. Motivasi belajar siswa mengalami kenaikan 52%. Selanjutnya peneliti menemukan nilai persentase N�Gain berada dalam kategori “Cukup Efektif” yang bermakna bahwa Metode Storytelling Berbasis Boneka Tangan cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Globally, high student learning motivation is an important milestone in achieving optimal learning goals. The sad fact is that after the pandemic, the learning motivation of Indonesian students has decreased by up to 70% due to unpleasant learning methods, lack of interactive learning, and lack of adequate facilities. With this high percentage, there is a need for innovation to increase student learning motivation. Learning methods and media have an important position in achieving effective learning. Collaborative learning methods and media that are fun and can be used to increase student motivation is the Hand Puppet Based Storytelling Method. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using the Hand Puppet-Based Storytelling Method in PAI learning to increase student learning motivation, especially in elementary PAI learning. This study used a quantitative method with a one group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design. Based on the results of the findings of the researchers before the treatment was carried out, there was almost an entire student learning motivation that was classified as "Low and Moderate". After the treatment was given, the researcher found that students' learning motivation was classified as "High and Very High". This can also be seen in the average student findings of 27% at the pretest and 79% at the posttest. Student motivation increased by 52%. Furthermore, the researcher found that the percentage value of N-Gain was in the "Quite Effective" category, which means that the Hand Puppet Based Storytelling Method was quite effective in increasing students' learning motivation.
